Further to last night's main event McGregor earned 15m for 69 seconds of work and can possibly earned 32m when all it said and done

Connor pulled the rug on the UFC big time, he wasn't healthy going into that fight.

Disaster for the UFC.

The co main event was also sus... they totally piped in the crowd noise for Paddy and the announcers were going way above the norm for "pumping" up a fighter. I think the UFC set that up to help fabricate a star.

I don't think there was anything unusual about the co-main (other than the strategy Saint Denis chose). Paddy is legitimately popular - he usually has a big crowd of fans making a lot of noise so it wasn't out of the ordinary. He puts on exciting fights (6 bonuses in 9 UFC fights) so the UFC doesn't have to do try to hard to make him a star.

Yup, watched that finish multiple times and still have no idea what happened. He was well ahead on the scorecards too, going into the last round.

Some are speculating a head butt to the chin but with Rosas Jr.'s hair it's tough to see, it's a better thought than a aneurysm/stroke.

Apart from the ending it was a hell of a fight

Lots of craziness in the ring from some of the other fighters

I saw the top of his head clip his chin. 99% chance that they dont review and reverse the score cards.

They can't. The referee has sole discretion as to assess a foul (accidental or intentional. If the ref doesn't call it a foul, the commission can't overrule that decision afterwards.

instant replay was added to assist with getting those calls right but Herb didn't think there was any reason to in this case so it'll stay as a win for Rojas.

I'm pretty sure the fighter can appeal the decision. Though I've yet to hear anyone actually winning on an appeal.

Plus the UFC clearly would rather the young guy who can sell tickets to the Mexican crowd have the win over an over achieving and old generic Brazilian guy.

They can file any appeal they want but the commission doesn't need to hear it. A foul is considered a judgement call for the ref, it's not something that would be overturned on appeal, even if the decided to hear the argument. There needs to be an error in applying the rules by an official for a successful appeal.

Winning an appeal, doesn't necessarily mean the result gets overturned. We had a successful appeal here after the last UFC. Karine Silva appealed her loss to Jasmine Jasudavicius (for using Zyn during the fight). Commission agreed that Jasmine had something in her mouth, in violation of the rules, but could not determine retroactively what it was so all they could do was fine her - result stayed the same.

Last UFC fight I can remember getting overturned was a Cody Brundage fight from last summer, because there was an error made in how incomplete rounds were scored (state laws said no scoring incomplete rounds but they did because that's the usual practice, just not in Georgia I guess).

UFC would like a lot of things but this would not be in their control.
