Bombers name Greg Knox LB Coach

Bombers name Greg Knox Linebackers Coach

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the addition of former CFL all-star Greg Knox to the coaching staff. Knox joins the organization to coach linebackers in 2015.

Knox comes to Winnipeg after returning to the McMaster Marauders sidelines in 2014 as their defensive coordinator – his ninth season with the school – navigating the OUA’s top defensive unit to a Yates Cup win, and a Vanier Cup appearance.

Knox had spent the 2013 season at the University of Toronto as their defensive coordinator, and previous to that, had spent eight seasons with McMaster, helping the school win two more Yates Cups, and the 2011 Vanier Cup, the first national title in school history. He originally took over as defensive coordinator for McMaster in 2006.

Knox spent seven seasons as a defensive back in the Canadian Football League, winning two Grey Cups (Calgary 1992, Hamilton 1998), and was a two-time CFL All-Star.

Btw, Dave Jackson (Defensive Assistant) is no longer on the Coaching Staff list.

Awesome! Next step....get some linebackers

All this tells me is that quality assistants follow quality coordinators. Also just reinforces how absolutely ugly that Etcheverry hire was. Bellefeuille better have a great year with his offense & play calling or he'll be replaced.
