CFL Increases Off-Season Neg-List

Recommended Posts

The competition committee recently approved an increase in negotiation lists from 35 to 45 from Mid-Dec until May 15.

After May, the list drops back down to 35.

This is to add more short term prospects and possible training camp invitees exclusively on the teams' lists.

This is an interesting avenue to look at for the period of time involved and I think it's a good idea.

Some names that we are already aware of include:

QB Tim Tebow (Montreal), QB Johnny Manziel (Hamilton), WR Josh Gordon (Calgary), QB Vince Young (Montreal), QB Terrelle Pryor (B.C.) and DE Michael Sam (Montreal).

Can you see Manziel in Hamilton? Steel town, lunch bucket, tough, hard working fans...Wouldn't be a great fit for him.
