I think Helly is seen more as the bonafide goalie of the future.  Comrie might be good trade bait though, if Hutch ends up as good as he seems.

Not the relevant question.  Is Comrie ready to play in the NHL?  No.  Where does he go?  Back to junior.

 

Those same two questions will be asked of Hellebuyck soon as well.

Helly is 21 so can play in the AHL this season which is where I expect him.

 

Comrie is only 19.

 

As an aside Hutch is only 24.

 

If all three of those guys are starter material, we have a great pool of talent in net for many years to come.

These are the proper decisions to enhance the development of all 3 goalies.

Comrie should get a chance to play in the AHL next season.  Helly and Comrie in St John's is what I expect next year.  Pavs/Hutch in Winnipeg.

Good chance Comrie is one of the goalies on the World Junior team this year and might even be the starter.
