Riders grab a 3-0 lead. Olivera runs for a FD.....then bursts through the line.... ....down to the Rider 35. Zac rolls out....hoists up a long one... ....to Bailey in the end zone, who makes a nice catch falling down... TD! 70 yard drive in a handful of plays.....10-3 Bombers. Riders called for holding....then Fajardo throws one away... Grant has punt bounce back on him......gets it inside Blue 20 Olivera hit hard but gets a first down - Bombers called for holding Zac converts long 2nd...throwing to Schoen for 18...... Zac to Demski for FD, Olivera runs for FD... Riders take horse collar penalty. Zac pressured, but while falling - finds Schoen for 20. Zac to Demski....ball knocked away. Leggs 22 yd FG makes it 13-3 Demski sweeps for 13. Collaros to BOO (you know who) for FD. Pretty good mix of plays called by Buck, so far.... Leggs places punt out of bounds on the Rider 3 Nice 2nd down catch by Lenius. Rose breaks up long pass to Lenius... Sask punt glances off Bomber blocker....ball rolls down to Bomber 3 MOS throws challenge flag for no yards. Correct - no yards there.. TD! 17-3 with 19 seconds left in the half.....could be a back breaker for Sask. Fajardo long pass to Schaffer-Baker behind Holm to Bomber 25. Nichols knocks 2nd D pass away Now 3rd and 6. Fajardo misses Schaffer-Baker on sidelines for another turnover That is now 3 turnovers on downs for the Riders..... Olivera re-discovered as he runs for FD, then busts up the middle to Sask 45. Olivera runs for another 7. He (and the OL) is just gashing the Riders.... 3 minutes left.....Coach **** calls a timeout for some weird reason..... Fajardo still going with the 4 and 6 yard passes. He has that act down cold.. Jefferson smacks CF and Alexander picks it off - but a Willie J. penalty wipes it out. Fine is in, and throws up a prayer.....picked off by Holm..... Bombers run 3 downs to burn some clock - Riders see the light and reciprocate 31-13 Final. Tough night for the Riders - their Hamilton game is now a must Will have to run the tape tomorrow to see how Dan Clark did..... No need to wait for gin till tomorrow... Didn’t really want to re-live the lousy 3rd quarter twice. You must have written this sober. Remind me to send you an extra bottle of gin this Xmas so you have an emergency back-up on hand for national holiday writing when the LC’s are closed!
