Barrin Simpson also wore 5 which made a lot of fans happy when Chad picked #5 as their jerseys made sense again. I was hoping Glenn would come back so I could resurrect my #5 Glenn jersey that I picked up on a Boxing Day sale for next to nothing when Kelly had declared Lefors was the answer. And then Willy got 5......Since starting to follow the Bombers in the late 1970s I can only remember the following players wearing #5 - Dieter, Tim Jessie, Kevin Glenn and Chadd Simpson. Thorpe was before my time.

As worst in the east we will get Edmonton 3 times, one other western team 3 times and everyone else twice.
That hasn't been the way they've done it in the past.
Won't every team play each other twice? (8 other teams X 2 = 16). That's only 2 extra games against the West instead of against the East. Hardly a huge difference IMHO.the problem is we have to play tough teams like BC and Saskatchewan and Calgary more, no more soft soft eastern teams to play where the toughest team is the painfully average at best toronto argos
Ottawa, for example, played the West in a home and home series, 2x5 for 10 games.
Then they would play 2 Eastern teams 3 times for a total of 16, with the final 2 games with the remaining team.
They would then rotate this pattern every year.
The Western teams would play a similar rotation. (2x4 East, 2x2 W, and 2x3W)
I haven't heard whether there will be a change in this format.
They have always tried to maintain the rivalries in the East and in the West.

Jade's got zero yards in his last two games and 18 in his last three. Looks like they are sticking him out on Hargeaves Island and moving a guy inside that can get open for quick throws.

Given that 3 of the past 4 Chairs (Bulbuck, Watchorn, Dunn) all worked together at Federal Industries in the late 1980's, I would say it qualifies as an old boys club. Although Ms. Strath was the first director appointed under the public nomination process, the news release referenced her experience in event management and marketing despite these items not being part of the specific criteria established by the Board. I think she's fully capable but I think she was chosen to assist in Grey Cup Festival preparations more than provide governance.
It worries me that the Bombers had an unexpectedly large $1.2M transit cost last year and that they haven't released 2013 financial results yet. In 2010 and 2011, results were released early April and last year it was April 23.
IGF is hosting a major event next week with the vast majority of sections only having single tickets available at this point. Will they have secured a transit discount in time or will they repeat last year's errors already? I rode park and ride many times last year and would gladly pay for this service. A P7 seat last year was only $17.80 and they were chipping in $11 for my transportation. Makes me feel guilty but at least I supported the concessions and Bomber Store.
If there's bad news to report, let's get it out of the way so that we can start focusing on the draft and generate a positive buzz to support season ticket sales. I sense the rejection of Rabb and the transit news are the tip of the iceberg and that more bad news is coming though.
