Not sure why bbn people think Lapp will magically raid us of players? Why could he..please enlighten me on that. Why would a player leave a good situation..a grey cup champ...possibility to win again and all around stability...to follow an OC?? Using that logic we should have had oodles of Argo stars and free agents coming here..it didnt happen

It's been pretty well documented in media..by coaches as well as players that they all have said Matt is a fiery leader, and garners a lot of respect...and a team first guy as well...refuting that, or trying to twist it, or make it seem otherwise is kinda childish if you ask me

Strev I know has stated he wants a legitimate opportunity to grow and establish himself as a successful QB, and he has a great chance to do it here, he'd be a gimmick there and would wash out in short order in that role, and have no true QB development whatsoever He's a smart kid, and his best bet and one I am sure he considers is to get a few more years up here and become what most think he can be, then parlay that here into a nice salary and being a big fish in a smaller pond, as I really enjoys and revels in the limelight and attention he would get...If he doesn't get an offer with a nice bonus and a guarantee that he's gonna be a legit QB option and not some camp arm, or gimmick guy I can't see him signing down south..He loves it too much in the Peg and the CFL

therin is the rub..I think skill set wise, and watching what each can do in practices that McGuire is the best "all around" guy, and has the best arm....just needs to learn the game and get experience...I bet if he got tossed to the wolves and had to start a string of games, that he would show enough., and learn quickly enough to make it hard to get him off the field

Streveler just needs to be put in a normal QB situation, and not in a trick/gimmick/run rpo based scheme He would flourish with reps in that system, has ability to be evasive in pocket and move around when pressure is there to extend plays, or take off when all breaks down, or he sees an opening. His running would be even ore lethal once hi is in that scenario as teams won't/can't cheat on anything. He has the arm to make all the throws with steam on it...I watched him his first day here when mini camp was on and he couldn't participate, but he worked out after with some receivers going through all the different routes, as well as target practice into the net from different spots on the field and made them all with ease, and was very accurate. I wondered who the heck this guy was because it was before anyone had heard the name Chris Streveler and he hadn't been signed yet, but you could tell he was skilled

whah whah whah....didn't we just do that last year??..suck it up losers! #4cups hahahahah
-
i dunno...they have MTL and Ham to start...can see them going 0-2 in those in all honesty...BC is next too...and don't think this year they will be as brutal as they were...saving grace is back to back vs T.O games 4 and 5...calling it now...1-4 after first 5 hahahahaha
-
Pretty much how I see it, If Strev doesn't land a NFL spot, Then it's going to be him playing same role as he did last year, perhaps more liberally than last with whomever we decide to pursue..Nichols, or Zack and I am fine with either as I think they are only a stop gap for a year, maybe two until Strev completes his development which I am more than confident he will. If Strev is gone then we role with one or other as mentioned and we have Mcguire step into the Strev role, maybe not so much as a run threat tho he is a good runner, but he brings a howitzer and will stretch the field..Best arm of all 4 guys we dressed last year and took snaps

To be fair Strev was 11 tds to 5 ints last year. This year a few were hail.mary try to make something happen at end of games and a couple were receiver screw ups..that and the fact he was never allowed to get in any rhythm as a passer. Given the reigns as a starter eventually over a course of a year I can see him as a 20's to 30's td passer if used properly with 8 to 15 picks...but also give u 10 or so on the ground too...much like he produced in his senior year

hope they use it on sideline next year ala the big play chain in Sask! MAKE A BIG PLAY...SLAP THAT BAD BOY ON! And hopefully they retire that sad sack piece of plastic they found in a gumball machine
-
any team rolling the dice and going all in on Arbuckle are taking a big chance...he hasn't proven anything more than any of Franklin..Jennings..Strev,..even Fajardo....I truley think Sask is gonna see a big regression there, and no real upside..He is what he is at this point and caught some teams off-guard...he's not top echelon by any means
-
It was said in jest, not as a reason to do it...but amazing none the less
-
haha...If there is a receiver we would wanna target in Free Agency he'd be the guy I'd want

you don't need to pass to win,,,Navy just pounded Army in the annual game...The Navy QB rushed for 304 yards....they passed once...a wr threw a 1 yard pass for a TD....They won 31-7 Go figure eh?
-
If Matt ends up wanting..or having to go elsewhere it will be Ottawa Their o-line isn't that bad, and they have some nice offensive weapons, they were just playing last year with no ryhme or reason, and no veteran OC calling the shots...and with green QB's who are average talents at best, well you seen the results

Awesome signing..and yes true testament to the culture and family these dudes have created. I have no doubt other than an NFL offer that the guys the team wants to keep, will be back as I cant see any wanting to leave if they get fair compensation. Of all our free agents leaving potentially to a different CFL team it was Woli due to his misuse/underuse here..and him wanting to be utilized..I had fears of him heading to BC..closer to the coast and Cali and the prospect of Reily feeding him 10 balls a game

To be honest..not a fan of Judge and a lot of holes in his game..and if not for the fact it was realized he was draft eligible, most likely wouldn't be playing ball anywhere Had decent stats..is good enough to.play but not a difference maker by any means, and wont be worth the salary he.prob gonna get cause he's "canadian"

Man..imagine if we were still cupless around here lol
-
Yip..him and Lamar would be fun to watch..they'd be my QB picks if I could have them
-
Off top of my head currently playing I would grab Austin Ekler from the Chargers..he would be such a weapon in Canada and DK Metcalf at reciever outta Seattle..he would be a mismatch nightmare on the big field..Think Duke William's but way better athlete and wicked fast. Also would love to see what Chris Thompson the rb in Washington could do here He not playing anymore but Dwight Freeney who used to play for Colts would have been my defensive guy, but currently I'd have Kalihl Mack playing a Willie Jefferson role.. I'd have to think more about others tho..those guys are just ones who immediately come to mind and stand out to me to suit the CFL field and style..oh yeah Christian Kirk in Arizona as well to me would be a Terry Vaughn clone
