  1. We need to roster and find 2 legit DT's to rotate with Lawson to become a force again on defence and take the load off the Jeff's, and have them run with legit rotational piece as well. Bring back Fox and Walker and several guys to compete for the DT roles...rewards...has to be earned...keep the best 2 for roster....3rd goes PR....same to be said with the ends.....you roster the Jeff's and an additional guy, be it Hba..Garbut...Or a new find/FA pickup, and with Hansen who 2 yrs removed from Achilles should be back to what he was, especially with the low miles on him for a guy of his age, and we need to land Bennett, and or Kongbo to supplement the rotation If we can run with the Jeff's, and a rotation guy....Lawson and a import DT...who has a rotation sub (Like when we used Neves and Stove) as well as Hansen and Bennett (the good Benett) or kongbo we should be pretty damn stout upfront Wilson also played well as season went on, and another yr removed from surgery should be ok....but competition needs to be brought on there also, Clements and Cole look to be legit starters for next yr, both young and right in prime and both are versatile enough to be used in several ways....but we need to treat LB like we did with DB's before and bring in a boatload...we have stood pat now for 4 yrs...time to turn the page. I would only bring Biggie back on a reduced deal, and to do what the "supposed plan" was with him for Grey Cup....But do it healthy not on one leg...if he declines that option, then we have to cut bait, and then all his salary can go to shoring up elsewhere I'd keep Holm...Nichols..Parker...Houston...Lawrence...Rose BA for sure to battle with some young...aggressive DB prospects and like mentioned earlier....best man who earned the job, and allows us to play multiple styles of defence are rostered.....Ideally I would like to see us work on extending Ford and giving him every chance to take the one corner position and flip the SAM back to an import spot with a dynamic impact guy there....adequate Kramdi is what he is, and adequate ain't what we need...We should run Holm boy at safety and work out from there filling in inside out..Nichols is a slam dunk and I like to see Parker at HB...he is a star in the making....Ford at the corner and a legit major battle for the other corner....may the best man win...like literally this yr....
  2. yup...that one made no sense...would prob been there for pick 2 if we wanted hi that bad.....not sure who was on board still before that pick but I am sure there was someone who would have been very productive on the roster, and more upside...I just too lazy to go look
  3. yeah I got moocho abuse about cant do wrong Oshea but I saw this coming all yr...we escaped it a few times luckily, but it did bite us when it mattered
  4. been wanting that Bennett for a while now, and can't see how he wont sign back home, and we can dispose of our Bennett
  5. Like I said...utilize what he does best....playing off and ability to close, and put that at safety, as then he would be getting picks, instead of tackles after the catch or the knockdowns when he really gets the jump...thats where he would be best served moving forward...we don't need a sledge hammer there....especially if we get some muscle back up the middle, and some HB's with physicality, and ability to jam and disrupt routes, and whallop guys when the whalloping is there. We rely too much on letting plays unfold under neath and moving up to it....If we alter a philosophy a bit, and force teams to have to push down field...Ol fancy feet would prob have double digits in picks coming from depth over the top..especially if he has good eyes...yr 3 next yr he should now
  6. thing is...with our poor roster management we had to make 3 moves to cover 1 issue due to an injury, and thats what will happen...confusion and communication errors...It's not about BA not having it anymore...truthfully there is nothing wrong with his game....it's more how we deployed guys...Now if Clements was in Biggies role, and we had Rose on the roster...a smart savy vet...and one who all the DB's say is like a coach on the feild and makes them better as a group...well he steps into Parkers spot...and we aren't having this convo...BA is at safety....we have no communication issues with the corner and half and that play is broken up...picked off over the top or not even there for the taking...
  7. If Osh cant make those decisions...then maybe he should be looked at to be replaced then.... exactly this....and I think the back half of the yr Osh had to answer to nobody and hard carte blanche...and it wasnt good Biggie this Jan should be given the option of taking a greatly reduced salary to be a role guy/st/in game emergency replacement, and if he balks then let go prior to any bonus....and he would know it's only business No need to waste camp reps and bodies with him vying for a starters role at 36 years old.... do u not recall me bringing thjis up early in the yr?..and its from a been there seen it before place...not just yip yappin actually...Wally didnt have the money to sign him...without bastardizing the squad elsewhere....and gave Biggie a best he could offer offer....and well it was not nearly close to what he deserved or was worth...Wally's hands were tied there
  8. exactly....that was a dumb idea to use him situationally....and this excuse that came out now that he was covering up for a miscommunication...well thats fine and plausible...that being said if it was Cole or Clements in his spot, they would have had the ability to cover and break that up...even with a 100 percent Biggie they are faster and more agile....just further confirmation that it was a stupid decision all around IF zc didnt try and force it, and actually threw the ball to lead Demski to the cone on the goaline, it was either a score....tackled at the one...or an incomplete pass...no way a db was gonna pick that...he forced a throw and we got burned...
  9. BO is the easiest of easy to replace, and we don't "have" to have him for the ratio...That being said I hope we lock him up...and doubt he garners any serious NFL interest worth wasting 5 months trying for I'd be utterly shocked...He has no chance in hell for that.. Logan would be unreal here and not nearly physical enough....and sounding like me aint such a bad thing u know hahaha and more size/stature...and not talking about height Alford was exceptional...and physical...Holm iis neither..he's very good, but also weak Ford and Alford had physicality to them...and are better tacklers...also stronger....and I't not just a skinny thing I was harping at...It's strength and power....most you prob wont believe it but Grant..all 175 pounds of him in terms of strength and power is one of strongest guys on team...he easily reps 350 pounds on the bench press..He out lifted lots of Lineman for reps on the 225
  10. Getttin there is a feat in itself....Is it safe to say we learned valuable lessons these last 2, and can bookend 2 losses with 2 wins...6 straight appearances....still a damn good run and yes....still a dynasty of sorts....sadly we should have had won 4 in a row as both these games where there for the taking...we just choked on various levels
  11. yeah wtf was that?!!?...just cheap un-inspiring filler....garbage
  12. and their pre game production of what they showed was garbage too...half of it was just repeats of what they offered up during the week....The CFL needs to go and market themselves to some competition who will put some legit effort into their product....TSN has got sloppy and lazy with the idea they have exclusivity...If you can get the same $$ value or more with 2...3 different Networks, who are able to be seen by any household in Canada...You go get that
  13. we didn't win...didnt show up.....and made dumn roster move in biggesrt game against a one dimensional team...so yup...epic flop....call it what u like....but thats how I see it....flamed out 2 straight yrs now...so something obviously wrong, or needs to be changed/switched up....as excuses are for losers with the one play away....better gamee plan away....different scheme away...thats an excuse for losing...plain and simple...and excuses don;t cut it with me and right back to piss poor roster management.....thats the sole reason.....plain and simple...we sent out 4 gimps...rostered a useless fullback....and had wrong bodies out there for what we needed to shut down a poor QB I almost think Grant too was playing well below 100 percent...another fail We had a healthy Bolo...I dont think he even saw the field...We had healthy Ambles...whos been there and done that, and would have had to take attention from MTL db's....we had Alston...who MTLhad no film on and could have been a huge unknowm X factor and at the bare minimum would have drawn coverage and made plays....we went in to the biggest...probably the most defining game of this era....and failed....due to the HC....thats the facts....and trying to spin it any other way is just a load of crap....for a team that boasted all this depth, and they all number 1's...I sure didnt see it, and we sure seemed afraid to use these other number 1's Hard to stretch field with only 1 guy, and have 3 others who couldnt get any separation other than a short release pass....and then were next to no threat once they had the ball...Mcrae obviously would have been no use as he didnt tie his shoes up for WF and if he was good to go, you would think Osh would have dressed him....and if he was healthy...and we didnt...another epic fail with roster...Grant as well I highly suspect was not full bore either...was very noticeable
  14. you nailed the smug part 100 percent....and are not far off with the analogy I would even go after Awachie out of Sask.....he good on teams as well, and he has the right passport and would be cheaper he was in cub scouts and that should count....lol we probably would not have drafted him anyway....we rarely take skilled position guys early...we would have prob grabbed some sand bagger who's special teams tape gave Osh a big ol Boner...and that would be that
  15. Cole was actually a EDM foolish cut we scoped up But really we didnt do anything until we flushed our PR and then grabbed Ambles...There been some talk that Osh was pulling most the strings this yr, for some reason, and it showed...He stuck with some "his" guys and we didnt do anything to address any issues all year...Returner...End...DT....and some of us even commented it's been awfully quiet on the GM front and player issues all yr, and truthfully if Osh is gonna continue to have a strong say, or be "the" say in who we bring in...keep...roster...we are hooped.....feel free to flame away on that comment but you just saw the end result of him not having to answer to anyone this yr...and it was epic flop...fail
  16. Osh and his blind loyalty to his favs and his penchant for rewarding, as opposed to earning...plain and simple
  17. If he leads Demski and throws to the cone....only Demski gets it and its an easy score....or down at around the one....missed opportunity
  18. I believe we made a deal for Lawson....but none the less was an addition This year if we cant lure Mason Bennett here...and or Kongbo I would like us to go hard at Adeyemi Berglund from the Stamps as a rotational piece Canadian for the Dline....I see him as a good fit here There will be ample guys in FA to sift thru, and we need to focus more on those guys coming off entry level deals, who could take reps on defense in a rotational role if need be to fill our back end for ST's, as we let some of our guys get old in the tooth, and they are too limited in value with a small roster
  19. yeah....most dont know what they looking at, or what the responsibilities are for most part....and if you know a basic blocking scheme it's easy to spot the whoopsies where a guy messes up, but makes it seems someone else screwed up Eli just moves guys....plain and simple and is in shape similar to when at Hawaii...He has to be at centre next year.....Dobson as well....just needs to be put in a spot and allowed to grow into it....like you said....withing 3 games he would be totally where he needs to be. You have talented interior talent...that's young and coming into their prime....You don't let them walk.
  20. we just need a few minor tweaks...some were already in house, and we also have to recruit/draft and keep players to build a more useful roster, ratio and positional depth wise, and also make better use of who/what we put on the PR This goes with a change in coaching mindset to make what I mentioned in first comment work, and take advantage of any roster rules that are in place that will help us....do that...we should be right back where we were last night....don't...and I doubt we make it out of the West next yr
  21. yup a chip or a 50 block then move to next level is his only asset....anything else he gets over powered or just doesn't have the combo of size and power to handle any stunts or speed rushes and move it away....was a weak spot all yr despite all this praise...
  22. whats he supposed to say,."that was a dumb move"...even tho it was...Schoen basically said without saying it..."thanks for putting me in even tho i was not healthy or prepared" yeah..Miller...thomas...Briggs....Briggs was already contemplating it for this yr...and u think anyone in "the room" would tell Hamilton...or any scribe that?....doubt it
  23. not sure why u so hung up on retirements...the only ones I can see as a likely, amd that will be due to the team telling them they are going to move on is Miller..Briggs and Thomas....Bryant is a strong maybe, and bet he would have if we won....36 yr old Bryant is better than 90 percent of Left Tackles in the league...No way Hardrick...Neuf....and anyone else will be...and why would they? Bighill will be the tough one tho....He is a battler and warrior and may not feel he is done...and someone will pay him....that being said, he has a well established off-season...and in sesson gig, so he may entertain the idea of a role player at a greatly reduced price, and with also being Nationalized American eligible would be a good backup...teams guy, where less wear and tear occurs on him, and his experience be invaluable Other than that don't be expecting all these retirements coming
