This generation of turf sucks in freezing temps and snow. Snow and ice gets between the layers and it's like an ice rink. I always wore my old turf cleats when it got cold on the fieldturf.

I agree. The weather is a great equalizer and makes it really tough to pass, especially when many of the players have limited experience in these temperatures and footing conditions. Have to really secure the ball. Fumbles are a big worry. Special teams will be massive in these conditions. Facing a running QB isn't necessarily the easiest thing on this field in this weather. A lot of that will depend on how both offenses scheme. I hope to hell we go run heavy, use all our weapons including Streveler.

I hope the Bombers D prepared for a run heavy offense. That’s what scares me about the Sask offense with Bridge and Watford. They have a lot of weapons in the run game. Bombers have to be disciplined because if they make those QBs make the plays to win the game history shows they can’t.

How did Popp not address the future? He dealt for one of the top QB prospects in the league in the off-season. Trestman snowed that QB and the team. Ended up playing MBT for half a season FFS. How would he not get fired?

When you have an ancient QB, you better be working on the next guy. You should always be working on the next guy because #1 is one hit away from being gone, as Trestman experienced this season. That's my point with Buono and Hufnagel. When have they not had a guy ready to play on the sideline? Tate falters as a starter and BLM steps in as one of the greatest winning QB's in league history. Trestman isn't in that tier of coach IMO.

Teams make announcements before the playoffs all the time. There’s a moratorium the week of the Grey Cup. I wouldn’t treat Trestman as a victim quite yet. Sounds like he went a little tyrant this season and basically went against the wishes of the front office repeatedly in his roster decisions. He’s also yet to develop an even adequate QB in this league.
