  1. 30 in one year is actually the second highest single season total since they started recording the stat. The year he did it, the next closest was Cordarro Law with 22.

Not knowing anything about this guy I immediately had him pegged as a middle linebacker but I have no idea where he's gonna line up. Rush end?

Almost every guy comes in with impressive stats, but this...This is something else. Wow.

  2. Like most Canadians, I grew up playing hockey - I started as soon as I could walk, and I was pretty good. I loved the sport. I remember being five or six and listening to the playoffs on CBC radio in bed when I was suppose to be sleeping. That was all I needed...Then I found Football around grade 7, and hockey took a backseat. The sport was an addition for me. We'd toss around the ball for hours, or run routes, anything, just to play football.

I'll play it, talk the sport for hours, and duel it out on Madden because for me...the season doesn't end. I watch the CFL, NFL and College ball.

For me, hockey season doesn't start until after the Superbowl, and the reason playoff hockey is so good is because the games actually matter - That's what the NFL & CFL do so well. Games matter.

It's my favorite time of the year coming up, training camp, start of the CFL season, NFL right around the corner. Great times coming!

    Go Bombers!

  3.

BLM isn't the biggest qb around & they may have felt he never would have had a fair chance to start.

BLM is 6'2" and 200lbs. That's pretty good size for an NFL QB.

No that is small for an NFL QB. At least today.

Decent size for a CFL QB though.

If an NFL team thought that BLM had the physical & mental tools, they wouldn't give his height a second though. He's right around the average - they might want a little more weight.

  4.

For what it's wroth, I just sent out a tweet to a couple of the WPG reporters regarding Curran and Sears, and promptly received a PM from one of the reporters saying 'Sears is a possibility but not to expect Curran'.

    Again, for what it's worth.

    Well that would sure suck.

Yeah, it would. I think it's a glaring issue for us, the LB group. Getting a guy like Curran or Peters, someone with experience goes a long way in solidifying a weak spot for the team.

  5. I can't remember what sight it was, but I think it was Mr. Perfect who called Drew being the one to get, way back when we all had Collaros fever...

Just thought I'd give him his due... Good call man!

     It was Mr. Perfect.

Willy looks like he is well on his way to being one of the elite QB's of this league.

    Finally...

There are going to be a lot of Bomber fans in the City tomorrow.
