I would guess Sgarbossa ends up going to the Moose, Copp centres the 4th line with Connor / Lemieux / Petan, but there are some nice young pieces on the Moose that will be used for injury callups. Can see some more depth D signings for the Moose. Wondering if Nosier and Poolman would be the first to get their chance with injury callus.

Trouba, Lowry, Armia, Ehlers , Dano, Petan all RFAs next year. Enstrom coming off the books. Little going to be a UFA. Could very well be Little's last year as a Jet with all those other guys to sign.

No different then Pronger the last two years and he got a job with the league while still getting paid for the last 3 years of his contract. Don't think the NHL has a problem with this sort of thing, and I don't think you can really punish the team for a player that has a valid condition that stops them from playing.

Pavelec was carrying a cap hit of $3.9M. Hellebuyck is likely to sign a relatively cheap deal as he has just come off his ELC and hasn't earned a big bump in salary. If Mason signs for 2 years @ $4M, cap wise it is pretty much a lateral move from what we had invested in goal tending last season.

I heard Chevy's comments, and while I think they had a number of players that they would have looked at around 13 and they had Vesalainen rated higher than they took him, I don't really believe he was "the guy" they wanted at 13 prior to trading the pick. I have no issues with them moving down, but I think we would have gotten a much different player at 13, my guess is a D-Man. It is turning out that defensemen are THE commodity to have in the NHL. Can't have enough of them for your team and if you have too many of them, you can get great trade value to supplement your forwards if you need to. However the value of Vesalainen was much higher then the defensemen left at 24.

Only one person ever picked a tie last season (incorrectly) and they are so rare, wasn't going to bother this year with ties. If there is a tie, no one gets a point. No. No strikes in the Pick 'Ems, so that wouldn't work.
