  1. First show of the year--DB and Walby for your pregame. Check out post game tomorrow with DB and yours truly. Pod version available on all your favourite apps.
  2. Hopefully next week for our inaugural 2023 Bonfire Midweek show!
  3. Was there today but very cold. Kickers were hitting 50 yarders. Staton rung one off the post but otherwise they looked accurate. Holm made a nice play on the ball and caused a pick.
  4. Did Sask really not address their o line? I forget what their off-season moves were. Maybe that says it all.
  5. Made it to my first Rookie Camp day today. Not much to report other than the Deuce Wallace #48 INT. O'Shea Jr almost made a circus catch. He was targeted a few times. #87 Jaivon Heiligh made a nice catch.
  6. Dude, I’m not saying Collaros was stellar. Would you not at least agree that Zach would be far more likely to make a better decision? Or you saying Prukop should’ve been MOP
  7. That happens. ZC would’ve recognized it and went to a check down. Prukop did what most third stringer would do, made a bad decision and chucked it. Never should’ve been in that position.
  8. Exactly. Running the ball on FIRST down with 6 mins left in fourth up by six when the running game was established is NOT conservative. It’s smart football.
  9. But the pt is not only that it wasn’t completed but that it had a very high risk profile and was patently unnecessary at that pt in the game. We were up by 6 late in the fourth quarter with a great running game going. Bleed the clock and wear them down. That’s Bomber football; winning football. It was a colossal mistake.
  10. I think the latter is what happened. Everyone I’ve talked to says that ZC was fine. That being said, in a Grey Cup game, up by six, with your run game going, there is no reason to put Prukop in that position. Prukop admitted he made the wrong read. That’s what 3rd stringers do. Cost us the game. Buck isn’t stupid, but this was stupid. There’s aggressive and there’s foolish. But that was the first time in the entire season they asked Prukop to make a read like that. Terrible decision by coaches. Foolish.
  11. I can’t pretend to know even a fraction of what Buck knows but why even put a 3rd stringer in that position? Especially when we were running the ball so well! Even if we keep running the ball and have to punt, we frickin win that game. At no point in the season did I see Prukop put in a situation like that. So why do it in the Grey Cup up by six?
  12. For sure! That’s part of my coping is that while I let myself grieve the loss it’s about much more than winning and losing. It’s challenging the first few days and then it comes. at the end of the day it’s about family and friends and supporting a good cause. Winning is gravy.
  13. Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting! I would agree with a lot of this. I guess for me, and for many Bombers fans, while it’s a distraction, it’s also a meaningful community. We feel connected to the players, coaches and staff who are mourning big time. The Bombers make us very much part of the team and regarding civic duty, the club does so much in the community. Anyway not discounting your post. It’s super interesting and helpful.
  14. Thanks for sharing @NoellerI was in the hospital this summer. For the second time in my life. Saved my life and now on the right meds and path. Glad we’re talking about this stuff.
  15. Thanks so much my friend. I love what you’ve said about our third place. It’s so true. This forum and the Bombers community is definitely mine as well. Cheers buddy. I get that. For me it’s much more than entertainment. It’s family, it’s my lifestyle. Everything surrounds the Blue. At the same time, I try to remember that it’s about the great relationships I’ve gained, not the wins and losses, as much as the latter hurt badly.
  16. Thanks for sharing @Noeller I wish you all the best. I’m living proof that recovery is possible. PM me anytime. Always happy to talk mental health my friend.
  17. I know this article doesn’t speak for everyone but for those who are struggling to manage the sadness, anger, and disbelief, I hope this helps. Zach @zachschnitzer48 on Twitter https://3downnation.com/2022/11/22/youre-not-alone-the-reality-of-a-grieving-winnipeg-blue-bombers-fan/
