Another win with all forwards playing under 20 minutes. Chiarot playing almost 3 minutes more than Postma. Lotsa good games out there and Scheif is looking better the last two games, isn't he? Little was strong, Laine takes the goal and points scoring lead for rookies and Matthias continues to be the hottest goal scorer on the Jets. I read some crazy stats on him yesterday. You're right. I'd rather see Connor called up as well. Thing is, where do you put him? Connor Petan and Copp?

The reason they sent Tanev down was because Matthias and Armia came back. I'd rather see him on the Jets. Makes me wonder why they are keeping that spot open if Myers isn't going to play though.

It gives us a day for more practice which has obviously helped. It also gives a day extra 2 heal bumps and bruises. I think the Jets take at least one point out of Buffalo and probably two points if hellebuyck plays in net.

Hopefully by a couple dozen but I'd be happy with a shoot out W as long as we get two points. I don't care if FL gets one or zero points. Same as Buffalo on Saturday and the Habs next Wednesday...all I want is the W. The Flames next Monday and the trip to AZ and CA on the 13th, 14th and 16th is against conference rivals so I hope they don't see a point. Give the game in LA to Hutch to give Helle a break and then right back to Helle for the Sharks on the 16th.

I know they played last night but Maurice kept the forwards to under 20 minutes a game so fatigue shouldnt be a factor. It is not a long trip from one city to the either so travel shouldn't come into it too much either. Would love to see the MLA line start to put a couple into the net. they've sure been getting the chances. I expect E-S-L and MP-L-W to put some in tonight too...Wheeler was on fire last night. That would only put us on pace for 84 points but it would set us up for a HUGE game against the Flames next Monday and if they lose their next two we could be passing them by in the standings. The smile on my face isn't showing much anger right now. But they won last night so there isn't much more is hate on here I guess it has to be directed elsewhere. If they were going to ban me for proving goalie wrong they would have done it a while ago. I proved him wrong with mathematics this time. How can you even debate mathematics??? I wasn't the one looking for an argument last night that was goalie.

Let me show you mathematically how wrong you are. We are about 5% under the league average in PK. We are about 76% and the average is about 81%. Not exactly but you will see how much 1% matters and I am much closer than 1%. 130 times shorthanded x (1 - 0.81) = .19 So, instead of 24% we have 19% of the time we get scored on. The difference is 5% so 0.05 x 130 times shorthanded = 6.5 goals but I will add a half and make it 7 goals. To win 6 more games we would have had to allow 12 less goals to win because if we lost by 1 goal, we would need two goals to win that game. I am saying that we lost only by one goal and if we lost by more it would even take more goals so for the sake of argument let's say we lost those games by one goal. If we allowed 7 less goals, we would have at best won 4 more games. We have had 1200 shots against. If the goalies had a better sv% by .005, they would have saved 6 more goals. The argument could be made that had we got average goaltending, we would have won 3 more games and had 45 points instead of 39. I didn't even mention the soft goal Helle let in last night. As far as comparing him to Price or saying he is top 5 in the league in goaltending, tell me which one of Price, Bobrovsky, Dubnyk, Rask, Holtby, Murray or Jones he is better than? I named 7 to give you a chance. I know you are saying it is the coaching but the thing you have to understand is Maurice isn't getting fired this season. People are getting sick of hearing you drone on about it. Every time you tell me I said it was goaltending as the number one reason we are doing poorly I am going to copy and paste this reply to you from December 11 of this season... "Where did I say it was the biggest problem???? I have said all along that injuries have been the biggest problem." Maurice isn't getting fired this season, get over it.
