Maybe for the playoffs, if you're under 500 you don't make the play offs. If there are only 2 teams with a winning season, they play for the cup. No semi finals, just the Grey Cup game. If you can't put a winning team on the field, why should you be rewarded with a fluke chance of getting to the GC?
