Leaving 90 mins before a game is more than acceptable. If people ***** about that they must live in a fantasy world.
Heh, 90 minutes is nothing. Just ask Marni from the offical forum who drives in from Brandon every game.

Milt in a Lion's hat...? well...
Yea, the Lions are his goto "I don't want to seem like a Bomber fan while I'm commentating" team
-
So does Nichols have a torn ACL? Looked like he was grabbing at that spot.

of course we are going to blitz. it's rare that we just rush with the D-Line. hell, it's rare that we let our Ends rush all out at all (ask Ricky Foley). we're always bringing someone to blitz from somewhere. we may as well practice it since it's all we do...
Blitzing is fine, but you lose the benefit of the doubt when that's all you do vs. Buck and then stop when he's done for the night...
-
On that same coin though, wouldn't sending the house using your pass rushing guys let you evaluate who gets at the QB best, even if its against backup o-line (well in this case, our starters I thought)
Well if that were the case they wouldn't have stopped as soon as Buck was gone. I'm not willing to give CJ any benefit of the doubt after last year.
-
Blitzing specifically to chase a QB from the game (notice how they stopped after Buck left) in the pre-season is ethically grey in my opinion. Your focus should be on evaluating your players, not trying to prevent your opponents from evaluating theirs...

An hour or a bit more. Is it really feasible to expect people to leave their house earlier than 5:30 to see a 7:00 kickoff in Winnipeg? The team on the field better be great if they expect to sellout.
I dunno, people at the south end would leave 1h+ before hand to make it to Canad Inns stadium. If you're willing to walk 30 mins (not much more than I walked at Canad Inns), there won't be any traffic issues at all.

Oh yeah and as good as my actual SEATS are, holy **** is the environment around me AWFUL. I think my section is being sponsored by the River Ridge Nursing Home. The most excitement I saw from other fans was a dude shaking his cane at the field. For real.
West side sucks. Why am I here.
Heh, I got forced to the west side as well. It was actually not that bad (though the crowd was definitely a bit older) when the Bombers were making plays (all 2 of them). I think it will be better at the Home Opener.

It's not a bad turnout by any means - we'll get over 30k which is more than the old capacity and there are no buddy vouchers this year. Couple that with the fact that we're competing with the Stanley Cup and the higher ticket prices and it's not bad at all.

Yep, I know. I want to read what other journalists covering the different CFL teams have to say about their teams. I'd like to know who the bright rookies may be, how the vets are doing, etc.. Just get the lay of the land... I have no clue the way other teams are looking, what they are doing, the injury situation around the CFL, etc. So I'll hold off for awhile.
Pretty much this - I have no idea what the other teams have done in the offseason other than the big moves - judging before the pre season starts is kinda fruitless

So have the bombers posted a depth chart yet?

I saw one guy on ourbombers said he just googled 17to85... so yeah, I guess I'm kind of a big deal...
Funnily enough, this is how I found this place as well...
-
thanks... i don't get most of that stuff but i get the gist of it.
on Bing, "Bomber Fan Forum" gets Morning Big Blue two thirds of the way down the second page for me. on Google i had it second last on page 2.
other than these meta-tags (which i will read up on), does the content of the site not influence the search? ie: when this site builds more content, it will pop up more often (and sooner) in searches?
Yep exactly this. As the site gets larger (more posts, articles etc.), Google and Bing will index the content and then rank it appropriately on searches.

question for those who know about this stuff:
"finding this place" has been a reoccurring stumbling block for some folks... how do we make MBB easier to "find"?
The site needs better SEO:
Check http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2067564/How-To-Use-HTML-Meta-Tags for a primer.
Basically I searched for "bomber fan forum" and the first mention I find for this site is from the stamps forum. When I originally found this site I had to search for a user that I knew signed up here.

Guess we'll find out Wednesday.
Maybe - The preseason game is usually much quieter than regular season games. I hope it is loud though
-
Worked like a charm - thanks!

Try Google Chrome.... It works for me now.
Yea, I use better browsers at home, but I don't have much of a choice at work unfortunately - we're not allowed to install software.
-
Honestly, I was really impressed with the progress our offence made last year. The O-Line was doing well, we weren't getting as many 2-and-outs. I really hope that trend continues into the new season

I love the look, but I think the layout is busted in IE8, so I can't browse at work. I'll try and post a screenshot tomorrow.

I have no idea how Hamilton gets a C.
This is what is baffling to me - They literally did nothing besides sign a flashy coach. I hardly think that warrants a C especially considering where they finished last year. Not to mention the whole Chris Williams fiasco.
