    Boston doesn't have the cap hit he was going to take and were wondering if he was going to get an offer sheet.

    He's a great D-man but they paid for it.

    Frickin Coyotes are holding out until the last minute to see what they can get for the #3.

    The more I read about Hanifin the more I like. He and Trouba would really look good on the blueline for the next 12 or so years. Sweeten the pot and let's get it done Chevy.

    Worry more about him making the team first...

    There's no way you can say we don't make the playoffs without Fro because it didn't happen. All you can say is we made it with him.

    I took Rich's suggestion and looked up deadline deals and actually a few weeks leading up to the deadline. LOTS of player for player swaps. We have NO IDEA what we could have got in return for Fro.

    It could have been a player that did nothing at all and we might have or might not have made the palyoffs...It could have been a player that put us over the top and we outscore the Ducks in third period in those early games. Nobody knows because it didn't happen...that is all I am saying.

    Toby wouldn't get you this year's 3rd and a prospect, believe me.....

    Babcock likes Toby, send him to TO for their 4th overall and their 3rd rounder.

    Dogs probably take a center and then it leaves the Jets to pick Hanifin, if that's the player they want.

    5m plus for Frolik?

    Are you guys serious?

    If this is what it is going to take to keep him, let him walk.

    I'd rather give that kind of money to someone like Justin Williams or Vermette.

     

    Can Soderberg play wing?

     

    I think Fro and Staf are gone and so is Tlusty and Pardy. I thought Stempniak would have re-signed by now.

    I think Chevy will make a move into the top 10 for the draft.

    After Rich made his post on Hanifin I read up about him for an hour or so. If Hanifin hits his potential, he will be an elite player contending for the Norris in his prime. He has excellent leadership skills and is NHL ready. Hanifin and Troubs playing against the other team's top lines would look really nice. Also, he wouldn't cost the team much for a few years.

     

    I'd offer the Coyotes Buff, Armia, Toby, our 17th and Stuart for their 3rd and Ekman-Larsson. They're giving up a 3rd overall and a great D-man and getting 3 D-men, a prospect and a first rounder.

    We end up with a 3rd and another great LHD and a chance to take another LHD (Hanifin).

    We also give them about 14.5 m of caphit and take back 5.5 m.

    They need defencemen and caphit.

    We need LHD.

     

    Our D would look like Trouba - Hanifin

    Myers - Ekman-Larsson

    Postma-Chiarot

     

    We wouldn't be losing any roster players (forwards)  and still have the 1st rounder from the Bufflao trade.

    Glad it isn't me making the decisions....Hanifin looks like a surefire D-man but giving up Morrissey and a 1st and an NHL ready player is a lot.

    Would absolutely love to see him in a Jet uni.....maybe throw in Petan instead of Morrissey.

     

    Morrissey, Hanifin and Enstrom/Chiarot on the L hand side would look nice and with Trouba, Myers and Buff, would make the Jet D the class of the league. Not sure if it is an affordable lineup though...
