New CFL Commissioner Short List Down to 3 People

 

 

 

Tom Anselmi (born c. 1956) is a Canadian sports executive who most recently served as the President and COO for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Anselmi is an alumnus of Ryerson University and University of Saskatchewan.

 

Not sure what qualifications an investment banker would have to be commissioner of the CFL.

I'm not comfortable with Anselmi being the Commissioner, especially because he along with Richard Peddie were the driving forces behind BMO Field being built soccer specific. Hayes has the marketing expertise it seems so that is a good sign and while working for Adidas I'm sure he built up some solid business contacts. Still wonder who the Montreal Investment Banker is.
