  1. With the utmost respect, you are misinformed in several areas here good sir but I have realized that aiming to inform on this topic in an online forum is an exercise in futility. At least we can agree to one thing, go Blue lol
  2. I am not just guessing here, I do know how it works. Not every single college team has a pro day, and many schools host combined pro days. It's VERY rare for D-II or lower programs to host their own pro day. EVERY SINGLE pro day that a college hosts is run by the NFL team that is nearest to them. Even a tiny, small school pro day at a D-II would be run by at least 1 NFL scout from the designated team in that area. Draft Scout dot com is THE SOURCE for all of the other websites that post pro day numbers. RAS and all the other publicly available metrics openly state that they get their numbers from Draft Scout because it's the only reliable public forum that gets pro day info straight from the NFL. There is no such thing as an "official" time at a pro day because those numbers are hand-timed by NFL scouts. The only "official" times come from the NFL Combine. Any other "Pro days" or "Combines" that are not hosted by colleges with NFL scouts timing, excluding the CFL Combine, are not legitimate and would not be posted on a site like Draft Scout. Hope this was helpful!
  3. Few things: Draft Scout is THE real reliable source for pro day numbers. They get it straight from NFL scouts. Anything posted anywhere else that is claiming different information is incorrect. Sometimes even the schools that post results on twitter will get it wrong because they use their own times but draft scout has the real info. Also, every single pro day vertical is run by NFL scouts and the players are not allowed to take a step or even wiggle their feet before the jump. They get two opportunities to jump from a standstill position and the best number of those two is marked down. Agree with you that vertical and broad jump, which are measures of lower body explosiveness, are more translatable to success in the trenches than 40-time!!!
  4. Celestin Haba is a super legit athlete. 37.5-inch vertical jump for a defensive end is really really good. I think Chauncey Rivers will be good competition for him with that NFL experience. That's an exciting addition I hope we can get one or two more studs signed on the defensive line
  5. I actually think the Hodge 2.0 mock is kindof good and much better than his 1.0 or Marshall Ferguson's flaming pile of let's call it work. There will always be issues with a mock draft and fullback certainly isn't a glaring issue the team has to address in round 1. Ideally would hope they wouldn't take a RB or FB so early but if Chris-Ike was taken at 17 after his combine numbers I wouldn't be too shocked or upset. He will probably never be a stud RB but if he can fill in as a backup RB and starting FB while becoming a star special teams player that is valuable
  6. Not sure if anyone has posted this but appears the Bombers signed another DB today. Montrae Braswell. Looks like he has kick return ability too had 3 return touchdowns
  7. Brady and Adeboboye are both powerful runners. Chris-Ike I think is more similar to Thomas Bertrand-Hudon from the same school. Didn't test as well but played more and had low-end college numbers. Drafted in the 4th round. Played in every game as a backup RB, fullback and special teams guy for Sask. If we could get Chris-Ike in the 3rd or 4th I think that would be a good add to fill that type of role for us. The fullback should ideally be a really really good special teams player and maybe Chris-Ike could be that with those testing numbers. 3rd or 4th round is perfect for that type of player I'm just not sure he will last. I think Herzog is different and more of an actual RB. Should have a lot of carries in preseason to see what he is whoever drafts him!
  8. Those RBs Herzog and Michael Chris-Ike will probably BOTH go in the top 3 rounds after those results. It seems like teams are valuing national backs more over the past few seasons Daniel Adeboboye and Brady were both second rounders and they might have been better RB prospects (i really do not know) but they both had worse numbers
  9. I looked up Terrell Bonds on wikipedia and I am pretty sure he and Deatrick Nichols went to the same high school Miami Central. They are around the same age so likely were HS teammates!
  10. I think Larnel Coleman's 36 1/4 inch arms give him the longest arms of any player in the CFL right now. Good get! https://draftscout.com/dsprofile.php?PlayerId=1024887&DraftYear=2021
  11. RB/FB Michael Chris-Ike at 28! He's been a backup RB and core special teamer in college and has the size to play some fullback
  12. I think what's interesting to see after doing this exercise is that there's SO MUCH MORE talent coming up from U.S. schools this year compared to last year I went back and checked and only 11 guys in the CFL draft last year were from American colleges. 6 of those guys are on NFL rosters right now and the 5 remaining in the CFL are Dontae Bull, Cole Tucker, Francis Bemiy, Adam Guillmette, Thomas Bertrand-Hudon Of the 37 guys in the four round mock something like 20 of them are coming from U.S. colleges and there were others that were left off the list at the end It's a really good year for the bombers to have an extra second round pick
  13. Hey guys, I got bored and did a bunch of research to drop a four-round mock here. I did end up having the same first rounder for the Bombers as Hodge. I don't know **** about **** but I thought this was fun! Tell me where I went wrong and if you want explanations I will give them! Edmonton - LB Joel Dublanko Ottawa - OL Gabe Wallace Saskatchewan - DT Daniel Okpoko Calgary - OL Kyle Hergel Toronto - LB Geoff Cantin-Arku B.C. - WR Nick Mardner Hamilton - LB Melique Straker Winnipeg - OL George Una Montreal - OL Nathaniel Dumoulin-Duguay Edmonton - OL Daniel Johnson Ottawa - WR Kevin Mital Saskatchewan - OL Christy Nkanu Calgary - DT Justin Sambu Calgary - WR Dhel Duncan-Busby B.C. - DB Ben Labrosse Hamilton - DE Tyson Hergott Winnipeg - LB Nick Wiebe Edmonton - DE Luke Brubacher B.C. - DE Micah Roane Winnipeg - DE DK Bonhomme Edmonton - WR Ajou Ajou Ottawa - OL Theo Benedet Saskatchewan - OL Giovanni Manu Toronto - RB Michael Herzog Toronto - TE Tanner McLachlan BC - DT Kail Dava Toronto - DB Daniel Bell Winnipeg - RB/FB Michael Chris-Ike Montreal - FB Paul-Antoine Oullette Edmonton - DB Tyshon Blackburn Edmonton - OL Anim Dankwah Saskatchewan - WR Kevens Clercius Calgary - DE Jason Janvier-Messier Hamilton - DE Kyle Samson Ottawa - LB Olivier Muembi Winnipeg - WR Ezechiel Tiede Montreal - OL John Bosse This is under the assumption that Theo and Gio both get drafted fyi ^^^^^^
  14. Tanner McLachlan is going to be in the NFL for a while. Theo Johnson also, and he might even be an NFL starter for a while. I would think the 2 UBC OL, the Illinois OL, the Boston College OL, the Howard OL and potentially the Memphis LB will sign NFL deals or be drafted. When is the last time the Bombers took a player, early or late, who had signed an NFL deal? They just don't seem to be as willing as other teams to wait.
  15. The Hodge mock draft seems decent but I think it's missing the mark with the Bombers. Here's what I think are the Canadian draft needs: WR - I've got to imagine they'll bring in a WR to compete with Jeremy Murphy early in the draft for a dress roster spot FB - This one is obvious. We dont have one iOL - I think the iOL is going to be set but the team needs to add someone to sit on practice roster this year and develop LB - Jesse Briggs retired. Shayne Gauthier probably doesn't have much more in the tank. Need a guy who can be a core ST stud and develop into a rotational player at the least LS - Mike Benson is going to be 37? Would be good to find someone who can be the LS of the future. I would hope the Bombers go WR/iOL/LB in some order with the three top 20 picks and go from there
  16. This same thing that happened with Dublanko also happened with Jordan Williams, he just didn't play in the NFL first (only had a rookie camp try with the 49ers). His wiki says he "nearly joined the Redblacks" as an American in 2019 but was convinced to get citizenship and enter the CFL draft in 2020. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Williams_(linebacker,_born_1994) Funny that both times it is a linebacker targeted by the Redblacks!
  17. Schoen was always a Danny McManus special from everything I've read
  18. https://rolltide.com/sports/football/roster/kendall-randolph/8115 Looks like he played tackle, guard and tight end across a 6 year career at Alabama and then spent training camp and preseason with the Seattle Seahawks as a guard. Would assume he will be in the mix at OT for us. Must be pretty athletic to be playing some tight end at Alabama
  19. Jeremiah Gemmel is a nice add at linebacker. Instinctual, fast, high motor guy who was a team captain for a high-level NCAA team. Also, would stay away from the NFL draft buzz articles. They have no idea what they are talking about on there
  20. I disagree on Cole having great instincts but I will say it was obvious that he improved on that from beginning to end of the season. The guy was originally recruited to Michigan as a highly-touted WR, then was a safety and kick returner at Mississippi State. Clearly a great athlete who has potential. Will be 27 when training camp starts and in his 3rd year with club so should be approaching his peak!
  21. I believe Dino Boyd also was a Bomber first
  22. I think after two years with Malik Clements and Brian Cole both on the team as backup LBs, they chose to re-sign Cole and try to find new young LBs to fight for an active roster spot. Must have thought Clements was not good enough in some way to be the heir apparent to Bighill. Fast but was in the wrong place a lot from what I saw. The Michael Ayers kid is the only one I think we've signed so far but I expect to see very healthy competition in camp there
  23. Thiadric Hansen is probably cooked after the Achilles. Plus he's 31. Assuming Koromoko will compete with the 21st Canadian for a special teams type of role. Then maybe a battle for the punting job this year between the guy we had last year and another global? I will say, I see doom and gloom around here on the lack of signings but I think there's going to be A LOT of competition this year from young Canadians and Americans fighting for legitimate roles on the team. That should get people excited. Might be some growing pains but I'd think the plan would be coach the young guys up and let them get experience throughout the season and hope to gel by the time playoffs role around.
  24. Plan seems to be keeping the core together while also getting younger. And rely on internal improvement from some of the younger players plus the U.S. scouting department to fill some holes. Success is going to hinge on whether the team can find solutions at right tackle, defensive end and defensive tackle. Also hopefully find a future middle LB to take over for Adam Bighill after this season
  25. If the Bombers do go with a rookie DE in Jeffcoat's place, which of our rostered players do you guys think has the best change to take over that spot? 6 contenders right now: Celestin Haba, TyJuan Garbutt, Nate Givhan, Ali Fayad, Jordan Lewis, John Waggoner I think Celestin Haba would be the favorite right now but also think Ali Fayad is a sleeper. Former MAC DPOY w/ NFL experience who started some games in USFL last season.
