Donald Trump

Funny how so many of the media and most of Hillary's supporters were shocked after the last debate that Trump said he wouldn't necessarily accept the results of the election (it's been pointed out he was referring to challenging a close outcome which Gore did in 2000), and yet many of the same folks appear to be doing the same thing with these protests LOL ...

Looks like all of the unique snowflakes are having a hard time going back to school now that they didn't just get their way at the ballot box:

Quote

So, Donald Trump won the presidential election, and colleges and universities around the country are predictably canceling classes and exams because students are predictably too devastated to be able to do their schoolwork. It’s everywhere. A professor at University of Michigan postponed an exam after too many students complained about their “very serious” stress. Columbia University postponed midterms, a Yale University professor made an exam optional, a University of Iowa professor canceled classes and a University of Connecticut professor excused class absences — all because their students just absolutely could not function knowing that they’d have to live in a country where their president would not be the president that they wanted. And it’s not even just the students — a University of Rochester professor canceled all of his meetings with students the day after the election because he decided he just could not bear to talk about it with them.

But who is Trump pointing at?  Why Obama's over-joyed staffers, of course, who are so happy to see a peaceful transition of power....

HA HAA HAAA HAAAA HAAA I can't stop laughing at this picture.... :)

EDIT - I can't seem to post pictures anymore.  What's that about?

The red head in the center of the second pictures looks like she's already plotting ways to destroy Trump.  :D

Well it's a good thing we have a Liberal Majority here in Canada with this guy:

You and I can disagree on that one all day long, but this isn't the thread for it.  It will be interesting though to see the dynamic between a failed drama teacher and a blustering windbag billionaire.  I really hope that they can get along.  I will give JT credit for not jumping on the Donald Trump bashing bandwagon during the election, like a lot of other world leaders did, and who now have to eat crow.  Well played JT.  Smart politics.

Most people underestimated Trump in the final evaluation it seems. I wonder if he and his campaign factored in the incredible bias and conviction that Hillary was a lock making her supporters complacent (many not feeling the need to vote because 95% of the pundits said it was inevitable she would be President) in their strategy? The figures from election night tend to point that way possibly as it seems a large majority of the reliable Democratic voters stayed home. Trump may have inherited an initial start up for his wealth but he is not as stupid as many think he is. If you don't believe me watch some old reruns of The Apprentice (as Michael Moore said). The guy knows how to play the game and has 40 years of experience conning the media. IMO he played this election brilliantly, hey who knows, maybe even some of the crazy racist or anti PC things he said were factored in to lulling Hillary's side into a false sense of security. That might be too conspiratory ;), but a total outsider winning the Presidency against one of the most powerful political machines in US history sure is quite a feat whether you like him or not.

Will Sanders be 80 or so in 2020? He may be too old then but you never know. I also heard Michelle Obama but I doubt she will or needs that crap so soon :) The Dems really don't have anyone at the moment that could challenge Trump (unless he is worse than feared;)) so it could be 8 years those who hate this. Then again no one saw Obama coming in 2008 or Trump this year for that matter.

CBC is reporting gleefully on the protests against Trump being elected (democratically).  Here's what one protester had to say:

Quote

Leslie Holmes, 65, a website developer from Wilton, Connecticut, took an hour-long train ride to the demonstration — her first protest since the 1970s, when she hit the streets of San Francisco to oppose the Vietnam War.

She described herself as an armchair liberal but declared, "I'm not going to be armchair anymore."

"I don't want to live in a country where my friends aren't included, and my friends are fearful, and my children are going to grow up in a world that's frightening, and my granddaughters can look forward to being excluded from jobs and politics and fulfilling their potential, so I'm here for them," she said.

This is the liberal media echo chamber speaking.  Why would you ever think that your "grand-daughters will be excluded from jobs and politics".  That is just so silly.  Don't these people have real actual things to worry about?

Not sure how you came to the "reporting gleefully" conclusion- I think it's your inner Ezra influencing your perception of reality. Raging where no raging is needed.

How is this the liberal media echo chamber? I am certain that there is no "liberal media echo chamber speaking" here. She has valid concerns and you shouldn't be so dismissive of them. Of course her Granddaughters' future is not of any importance for you, but it means a great deal to her. These are in fact actual things for her to worry about

"Right now I'm just trying to formulate thoughts. It's too early. I'm just sick to my stomach. Not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenor and tone and all of the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic.

"I live in that country where half of the people ignored all of that to elect someone. That's the scariest part of the whole thing to me. It's got nothing to do with the environment and Obamacare, and all of the other stuff. We live in a country that ignored all of those values that we would hold our kids accountable for. They'd be grounded for years if they acted and said the things that have been said in that campaign by Donald Trump.

"I look at the Evangelicals and I wonder, those values don't mean anything to them? All of those values to me are more important than anybody's skill in business or anything else because it tells who we are, and how we want to live, and what kind of people we are. That's why I have great respect for people like Lindsey Graham and John McCain, John Kasich, who I disagree with on a lot of political things, but they had enough fiber and respect for humanity and tolerance for all groups to say what they said about the man.

"That's what worries me. I get it, of course we want to be successful, we're all going to say that. Everybody wants to be successful, it's our country, we don't want it to go down the drain. But any reasonable person would come to that conclusion, but it does not take away the fact that he used that fear mongering, and all of the comments, from day one, the race bating with trying to make Barack Obama, our first black president, illegitimate. It leaves me wondering where I've been living, and with whom I'm living.

"The fact that people can just gloss that over, start talking about the transition team, and we're all going to be kumbaya now and try to make the country good without talking about any of those things. And now we see that he's already backing off of immigration and Obamacare and other things, so was it a big fake, which makes you feel it's even more disgusting and cynical that somebody would use that to get the base that fired up. To get elected. And what gets lost in the process are African Americans, and Hispanics, and women, and the gay population, not to mention the eighth grade developmental stage exhibited by him when he made fun of the handicapped person. I mean, come on. That's what a seventh grade, eighth grade bully does. And he was elected president of the United States. We would have scolded our kids. We would have had discussions until we were blue in the face trying to get them to understand these things. He is in charge of our country. That's disgusting."

A reporter then interrupted him.

"I'm not done," Popovich said. "One could go on and on, we didn't make this stuff up. He's angry at the media because they reported what he said and how he acted. That's ironic to me. It makes no sense. So that's my real fear, and that's what gives me so much pause and makes me feel so badly that the country is willing to be that intolerant and not understand the empathy that's necessary to understand other group's situations. I'm a rich white guy, and I'm sick to my stomach thinking about it. I can't imagine being a Muslim right now, or a woman, or an African American, a Hispanic, a handicapped person. How disenfranchised they might feel. And for anyone in those groups that voted for him, it's just beyond my comprehension how they ignore all of that. My final conclusion is, my big fear is --- we are Rome."

These are actually NOT things to worry about.  At least until Trump does SOMETHING to indicate that indeed this is something to worry about.  Right now its just manufactured fear by the liberal media echo chamber.  Just pure nonsense.

Then by that nonsense approach- no one should worry about anything yet.

Actually- we have his past actions and statements to go on. People should be very worried and concerned until he does something to assuage the fears he stoked for the past 18 months. How do you just gloss over ALL of the batshit crazy stuff he has said and done these past 18 months?

Good to see the President elect reacting with such maturity to the stupidity of the people who don't seem to be able to accept reality, and have chosen to act like complete imbeciles.

Good to see you like to edit reality to suit your own agenda driven narrative. You understand that you appear to be quite the bully with your incessant spamming of alt-right diatribes and intolerance when "the other team" does the same **** that "your team" gets a pass on.

you forgot this tweet mere hours before:

Completely untrue.  He isn't even president yet, so of course we don't have past actions or statements to go on.  This just isn't true, and just adds to divisiveness and hatred.  Really sad.

and also totally true.  It is very unfair that the horrible media keeps inciting this garbage.  Shame on them all, and all the people who can't accept basic democracy.

How is my statement untrue? even remotely!

That's akin to:

Quote

"Hey, Jeffrey Dahmer is going to a travesty as POTUS!"

"Completely untrue."

"Whut? You're shitting me..."

"No, give him a chance. The horrible liberal media keeps inciting this garbage."

"He's a horrible role model for... well ANYONE."

"That is just so silly.  Don't people have real actual things to worry about? "

"These are in fact actual things for people to worry about."

"He is a murderer... he EATS people!

Please excuse the hyperbole- it would be less funny without it.

What? Holy ****- you're trolling. You have got to be in total troll-mode. I am going to assume that your post is trolling, based on the fact that your post resembles a Trump text and that no one is that ignorant.

I think I am starting to "get you". I can't believe it took me this long to figure out you are in actuality an online Troll. Heh- ****, that's pretty good man- you had me going for awhile. I though you were one of those Alt-right crazies who channel Ezra Levant's petty rage with no grounding in reality whatsoever.

Pretty good

But seriously, please stop trolling. This is actually some serious **** here and there is no need to troll for your own pleasure.

Most likely that tweet was written by a staffer and not Trump. Anything remotely coherent and conciliatory usually is.
