In a soundbite recorded Thursday after an emergency meeting of the county's Emergency Policy Group, Hillsborough County Commissioner Les Miller said if WWE doesn't make the call to postpone WrestleMania due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they likely will.

“I’m hoping that Vince McMahon and WrestleMania and WWE make the call themselves but a week from now, if they've not done that and we’re still in the situation we're in, we'll probably have to pull the plug on that," he said.

In that aforementioned meeting, the committee agreed to wait a week for WWE to make a decision but weren't as definitive as Miller's statement after the fact.

In what has best been described as a high stakes game of chicken, WWE released a statement they are making contingency plans if the county doesn't allow the show to go on as planned:

“While we remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that it is canceled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues."

WWE has already had to make changes in their schedule, moving last night's SmackDown and Monday's Raw to their Orlando, FL, based Performance Center and canceling their weekend house shows.

Like what? Moving it to Latvia??? The WWE playing chicken makes them look irresponsible.

Raw won't last with the format they had last night. The show was awful. It's not their fault with all the health restrictions. But it just doesn't work.

Apparently, after SD, Vince decided that wrestling in an empty gym wasnt what fans wanted, thus the reduced wrestling on RAW>  They might have *weeks* of this....  Oh and WrestleMania...

His feeling on WM was, what if they cant do big events until the fall, just get it over with now.  So thats WM's new tag line.  WrestleMania: Just Get It Over With. ha!

So impact on wrestling.  A large number of indie promotions of various sizes hold events WrestleMania week and make a lot of money.  This is risking bankruptcy for several.

WrestleCon is a big one.  Apparently, the Marriott where they were scheduled insists they're willing to do the event so they are owed over $100,000.  Jericho is now stepping in to help.

It's time for Vince to hand the reigns over to Hunter. If last night's Raw is the way he wants the show to be, no one will watch. I won't be watching Smackdown.

Wow even though it’s ten people it helps having someone around ring engaged in matches on Dynamite

Was just coming here to say the same thing. They're having some fun with it, which is good. Having MJF ringside being a loudmouthed smartass is a great idea.

I felt  AEW made some smart choices tonight.  Putting the back drop so close to the ring did a nice job of filling the screen. Probably helped to make it less echoey in the building too. Having wrestlers as the crowd was awesome.  Even a few people hooting and hollering made a big difference in overall feel of the show.  Not sure about brodie lee/luke Harper as the exalted one. Could be good,  could be an old bray wyatt copy. We'll see,  i guess.  Matt hardy will be awesome,  no matter what.  Super excited to see what he does.

Really liked tonight's Dynamite. Brodie Lee as the Exalted One makes so much sense when you think about it. The Dark Order's whole deal has been recruiting people who feel unappreciated and forgotten. The exact kind of person people viewed Brodie Lee as Luke Harper. Debuting Hardy the same night was great and somewhat unexpected after he turned out not to be the Exalted One. Still figured he was coming eventually, just not later in the same episode. While I'm sure Hardy would have excelled with the Dark Order, he has more freedom without them.
