Some thought that Pardy is on waivers because a team has interest in him as depth for their AHL team, in order to be on the playoffs for an AHL team, you need to be on the roster by tomorrow at 2 pm so if he clears today, seems likely, you might see a package deal involving burmi and pardy to someone with burmi being put on that teams main roster and pardy being sent to the minors since he wouldn't have to clear anymore.

Pretty obvious the JETS are DONE with pardy, maurice called him a rec league player the other day and pardy went on a rant about how he feels he should have been playing more. Pardy is being shopped, this probably has something to do with it.

Yes there is obviously something going on with Pardy as he has been sent down, but this is quite the stretch on Maurice's quote on Pardy.

What he said was that the NHL wasn't rec hockey and not every player is going to get equal ice time because they all pay to play.  He implied Pardy isn't playing well enough to get equal time in the NHL.  That is not calling him a rec league player.

Quote

“It's safe to say that there's a certain level of hockey that we've got to get out of these defencemen. We didn't see it when we put the other two guys in. It's not rec hockey, where you pay your $185 bucks and everybody gets fair ice time. You get your chance to do something, you need to do something.”

Stemp playing on the third or 4th line doesn't get the amount of points he has now. That's just reality. The guy is a journeyman gonna be on his like 9th team in 9 years. A 2nd? Lol from who. Jets got him for a guy not playing in the nhl or ahl anymore. Stempniak is the most over rated player in the history of jets 1.0 and 2.0

Stempniak makes no difference to this team. We are tied for 3rd last. Stemp doesn't change that.

Lol at a 2nd Rd pick. Highly doubt that.

Stempniak is not worth a 2nd Rd pick cuz on a decent team he's a 4th liner. 4th liners don't get 2nd Rd picks

I'd have mild interest in Yak, too. Can you get him out of Edm without Meyers or Trouba going the other way though?

I'm thinking Morrissey is nearly untouchable, with our lack of top end D prospects....thoughts?

If they wanted Meyers or Trouba for Yak, I'd likely pass out from lack of oxygen as a result of the hearty guffaws that would immediately emanate from every orifice of my body.

Is anyone saying Burmi is a saviour?  Because a lot of people lamented not signing Stemp as if he'd make a difference.

Is anybody saying Stempniak is a saviour?  Pretty big difference between that and thinking he would have helped our bottom six.

Fantastic signing by the Devils. Got 20 goals and (likely) a decent draft pick out of him for under $1M.

No but people have routinely discussed not signing Stemp as a failure of management.  As you said, bottom six.  A guy who NO ONE signed until NJ offered a try out.  And he wouldnt have scored 20 goals in our bottom six.  I mean sure, if Chevy DOES have a crystal ball whereby he can see how guys will perform during the year, then its a failure to sign someone he knew would do well.  But assuming he doesnt, Stemp is, was and will always be irrelevant to the Jets.

Maybe he could borrow your crystal ball.
