Jason Reitman will be directing and it will follow in the original universe of Ghostbusters 1 and 2.    No mention of who will be in the movie but confirmed the ladies will not be in it at all.

This is what it should have been.  I could care less if there are women in it, but the torch should be passed on, not just a reimaging of the damn movie beat for beat almost.  And I hope they use practical effects instead of all CGI because that new one just looked like absolute ass.  All the ghosts looked to clean and fake.  And lastly, I hope they have a good story and decent jokes.

Feels like the Spidey franchise that Sony's done 3 times now.

Yes, in so much as the first one was solid, the 2nd try was pretty much ass, and the 3rd try is by far the best so far....so, for JR, here's hoping they get their own Tom Holland to do everything justice! ;)

Apparently Reitman wants teens as the main four characters.  Two boys and two girls.

Welp...my interest in this is now gone.

It sends a conflicting message,  if they want this to be a sequel to the originals then I would assume they are targeting the nostalgic crowd and would want to cater to them?

The last movie had such backlash from casting 4 females that I would assume a similar outcry will happen with casting 4 teens.

I can only assume they are trying to bring in new younger people to the franchise so maybe having 4 teens might draw out the kids?

How will they reconcile a younger Batman into the current universe.

What a boneheaded decision to cast an “older” Batman to begin with

Why, with the Pennyworth timeline of course...duh. Where Alfred goes into a wormhole and stops both parents from getting killed and.... yeah, I got nothing...

I guess they'll ignore it.  I suppose they could still have a dead Robin with a younger Batman but it then implies he was VERY young with **** Grayson was his sidekick.

If it was me, I'd use Wonder Woman to reset everything.  Since her next film is the 80's have her next one be...whenever, but its a younger Bruce Wayne etc.

Because I suck and don't have twitter I will paste what Leslie Jones had tweeted in regards to the new Ghostbusters movie:

Quote

So insulting. Like **** us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. (Trump voice)”Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers” ugh so annoying. Such a **** move. And I don’t give **** I’m saying something!!

I assume her potential future deals for movies may have shrunk because of that outburst...

She talks like she has a 5th grade education.

Actually that's not true, my 10 year old in the 5th grade talks better then she does.
