JohnnyAbonny
It’s so surreal how far and fast both Alberta teams fell. They were the class of the league for the better part of 30 years, Edmonton even longer. rebusrankin, HardCoreBlue, Stickem and 3 others 5

They are the posterchild for why a club like Edmonton should have stayed community owned. Immediately when Calgary switched over it started. 17to85, JCon, BigBlueFanatic and 2 others

Pete
Dickenson in Calgary has basically thrown every other coach under the bus to keep his coaching job, How they let him maintain 2 roles when its repeated been shown that it doesn't work is the definition of insanity Have lost a lot of respect for dickenson. (just watch him hire is brother as a coach, (already a consultant)) Calgary Stampeders part ways with coordinators Mark Kilam, Brent Monson - 3DownNation Edited Wednesday at 06:51 PM by Pete wbbfan

Mean while **** won’t finish the year. People in Calgary are all over the Killam firing. Thing is, he's been a STC for 20 years. He may have also coached linebackers at one time for a season or two back in the mists of time. That's all Killam's done. Under 3 head coaches in Calgary (Tom Higgins, John Hufnagel & Dave Dickenson). He really doesn't know anything else as he's done nothing else. Fans wanted him to take over from Dickenson? Why? What's he done that's so special? Why no desire to move up to Defensive Coordinator? Why not move to another team to see how other successful head coaches do it? Football is ultra competitive. Perhaps Dickenson felt Killam was satisfied where he was & lost his edge as a coach. I wouldn't want a 20 year career STC who always just seems to be in the background as my CFL HC. I don't think Killam ever pushed himself. Took a chance. All he did was play it safe for 20 years. No thanks as a HC> Yeah, it's probably nepotism keeping Craig on staff but the reality is, he's a very good STC himself. So, we'll see where that goes. Monson? Anyone can be a genius DC with Alex Singleton, Wynton McManus & Jameer Thurman & others on those Stamps teams from 2010-18. All departed btw. I wish I could say I hope the Elks crash and burn but they are pretty critical to the success of the league and this is just silly. What the hell does he know about running a business of this size? ShyGuy
Looking at the season long Game Analysis that the league publishes and the matchup in the West Final will be VAJ vs the Riders Secondary. VAJ among the leaders in 20+ Attempts despite only starting 9 games and the Riders one of the worst teams against the deep ball.
