Brady the MOP and MOC for the West. Milligan beats out Ford for MODP

My picks (with admittedly Blue tinted glasses on) and why:

MOP - Brady.  For all the BLM talk, we shouldn't forget that he/the team was so bad in August that he lost his job as the starter.  If Powell doesn't almost immediately get 6 gamed, we're not even having this discussion.  Kudos for him on a bounce back season that I didn't think he was capable of anymore but there were negatives too.

MODP - Beverette.  Not buying into the Milligan hype.

MOC - Brady. Good year for IAB but he's surrounded by a great defense. Brady is the premiere Canadian in the league and to do what he did, given the struggles our o-line had most of this year, it's very impressive

MOOL - Hunter.  F the Riders, that's why. 😂

MOSTP - Whyte.  Could be a toss up.  Tempted to go with Janarion but I feel like he cooled off after a very hot start to the season. The flipside for me is that Whyte, while impressive at 94.3% gets the benefit of kicking in a dome for half the year.  I'd like to see what his numbers at home are vs his numbers when playing away.

MOR - Bridges.  Impressive rookie season that could have been even better if he didn't miss the last few games.

COTY - Maas.  The Al's ended last season hot & kept it going this season. Had 1st place locked up by a country mile.  Not giving Mace the award just because the Riders finally managed to win a game after Labour Day.

MOP - Brady. BLM put up lots of yards because that's what you do when you're playing from behind. Couldn't even get his team near the playoffs. RBs finished with 5 more points than them... the RBs!!!

MODP - Beverette. Milligan gives up lots of receptions so he can get tackles? He's not even the best DB in the West.

MOC - Brady.

MOOL - Hunter.

MOSTP - Heart says Grant but head says Whyte. Whyte had a great year.

MOR - Bridges but his injury probably means win for Anderson for durability.

COTY - Maas. First East title since 2012(?).  Mace won June and July - congratulations, enjoy the empty seats, please flush when you leave.

Lmao projection at its finest considering they were buying billboards to ramp up support for Milligan as MOP

When you've won only 4 (four, quatre, cuatro) in over 100 years in a small league, you become desperate for any type of award or recognition. It's as pathetic a fan base as there is.

How in the actual ****.... Logan Ferland? No Pokey Wilson??? And I still say Milligan as MODP is beyond insane.... I am just forever disappointed in our CFL Media...

Consolation prize, the play of Western MOR Nick Anderson led to the Elks releasing Tony Jones.

Nick Anderson posted really good numbers for a rookie LB, I have no problem with his selection.

yeah, kudos to BLM for bouncing back from being benched and for making the back half of the TiCats season interesting ... thought he was done the past few years but he made throws this year that I thought were long behind him ... but he couldn't get his team into the playoffs ... whereas if you subtracted our MOP we're not a playoff team.

The special little snowflakes in the rectangle province need the constant validation from the media or they throw a tantrum. It's disgusting.

I have no issues with the Riders having all stars or even winning awards. All I care about is our team winning championships. Infact the way I look at it. Give them all the awards and all star selections. They’ll have a lot of guys asking for big raises in the off season and in a salary cap era I say good.

From what I've heard. 2025 will be his last GC in Wpg. So I'd imagine he has an exit strategy ready. Saying that, I don't think he's planning on replacing Randy.

Considering our last GC in Winnipeg was 2015, a decade ago, there may be a few of us who won't even be around anymore when the next one is played here.
