Oh boy as in yet another shitty Friesen article?

Willie said the exact canned phrases that any pro player would say about a departed teammate.

Also Friesen is going to make something out of one guy leaving town and yet ignore the fact that this team has signed an insane amount of guys to extensions.

And, Willie has said the same thing about other players that leave. He wasn't happy when Lucky went to BC but he looked plenty happy hoisting the GC.

Did you read the actual article by friesen? It wasn't bad at all. There were no shots at the bombers. If anything this is 3down making a stink about a throw away comment by Willie.

Ran into Drew Wolitarsky at the Forks yesterday(by ran into i mean interrupted his lunch like a fanboy), and gave him a "cheers to a threepeat bro" fist bump. Luckily he was cool though lol.

He's going to be playing in the 420 celebrations put on by the Fiddlers store (right next to the Kings head pub).

9. Winnipeg Blue Bombers — OL Cyrille Hogan-Saindon, Laval

The 24-year-old was an RSEQ all-star at centre for the Rouge et Or in 2021 and fills a need for Winnipeg along the interior of their offensive line. Laval offensive linemen have plummeted down draft boards in recent years due to injury problems, but Hogan-Saindon is looking to reverse that trend.

18. Winnipeg Blue Bombers — DL Anthony Federico, Queen’s

The six-foot-four, 240-pound defender lacks the size to be an every-down player at defensive tackle in the CFL, but I could see him excelling in a rotational role in Winnipeg. The Blue Bombers lost Jonathan Kongbo to the NFL this off-season and need to add depth along the defensive line wherever they can get it.

38. Winnipeg Blue Bombers — DB Daniel Valente, Western

The U Sports first-team all-Canadian lack elite size and speed but certainly fits Winnipeg’s mold with high character and football intelligence.

Excellent choice at #9, number #18 the right position but would look @ a different edge rusher (Hodge's pic #26) and with pic #38, go with a local pic, D-Tackle #96 from the Bisons...

WINNIPEG, MB., April 12, 2022 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed Canadian linebacker Eric Mezzalira.

Mezzalira (6-0, 225, McMaster University; born: March 10, 1994 in Hamilton, ON) joins the Blue Bombers after two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders (2018-19) as well as spending last year on the practice roster of the Toronto Argonauts.

He has appeared in 22 Canadian Football League regular-season games, all with the Stampeders, and has registered 11 special-teams tackles and one fumble recovery. He was also a member of Calgary’s 2018 Grey Cup championship team in his rookie season.

Mezzalira was selected by the Stampeders in the second round, 17th overall, in the 2018 CFL Draft. He played in 28 games over four seasons (2014-17) at McMaster, accumulating 95.5 total tackles including 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and two pass breakups. He led the Marauders with 43 tackles in 2017.

Michael Reid out of Waterloo, current free agent linebacker would fit (looks good on video).. The L-Backer (Guelph) I'm hoping the Bombers draft, may be gone by our 5th round pick... Hopefully, Mezzalira fits, but still think we need one more L-Backer to the roster...

He's a 28 year old PR player.

Just a training camp body who maybe can find a role on ST if he looks really good.

RODEEM BROWN
OL | ALBERTA

Originally I had Bryant RB Daniel Adeboboye here as an immediate plus on special teams and possible future ratio changer at running back, but in a weak lineman class I believe no player helped themselves more than Rodeem Brown on CFL Combine weekend.

Heading back to U of A in 2022 could drop his stock, but the Riders aren’t in desperation mode looking for a plug and play lineman. They should take Brown, develop him for 2023 and potentially add their centre for the next five years.

Yeah, that was my first thought...there is no way the Riders don't take local kid Zerr in the 1st round. There would be a lynch mob.

Well, just hang on,,, his home town is a short drive through a valley, then the MB border... once in MB a couple hour drive down yellowhead and then 3/4 quarter of an hour east on #1... Local kid perhaps, but maybe not.... Hi could be a Bomber just as much as Rider!!!!
