Those are the stats.

On pace for over 1,000 all-purpose yards. Does a little bit of everything for us and definitely stirs the drink.

Good old Winnipeg boy. I remember watching him play in the high school finals for Oak Park absolutely destroying St.Paul’s.  I used to play for Team Manitoba and my dad coached a lot of good players from high school, and  in the midget league but he was probably the best high school football player I’ve ever seen.

Nic Demski was a victim of too many good players on the Bombers this year... The voters were never going to give Bomber nods for almost all the awards... and Demski was the most "borderline" of the candidates so they gave it to Lokombo instead... under normal circumstances, Demski is - at least - the west nominee.

He certainly seemed to turn it on in the playoffs in 19 (hasn't turned it off since then)

2019 – Blue Bombers

Followed up his debut season with the Bombers in 2018 with a solid 2019, finishing with 44 receptions for 543 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games, adding another 147 yards rushing and two scores on the ground. His 543 receiving yards ranked third on the Bombers, behind Kenny Lawler (637) and Darvin Adams (549).
Demski posted his first-ever 100-yard receiving game in a win in Ottawa in July, finishing with four catches for 105 yards and an 82-yard reception on the second offensive play of the game — the longest catch of his career.
Demski was especially dangerous in the Bombers playoff run in 2019. He had three rushes for 53 yards and a touchdown in the Western Semi-Final victory over the Calgary Stampeders, six catches for 72 yards in the Western Final win in Saskatchewan and then followed that up with four receptions for 45 yards and one rush for 22 yards in the Grey Cup victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Demski signed a two-year contract extension to remain with the Bombers on January 5, 2021.

But, Demski is also a Bisons legend too (from the same link above):

College

Starred at the University of Manitoba after his high school days with the Oak Park Raiders… Named a CIS Second-Team All-Canadian as a slotback in 2013, 2014 and a returner in 2011 and a CIS First-Team All-Canadian as a returner in 2012. He became the first Bisons player to be named on four CIS (now U Sports) all-star teams… Finished his career at the U of M ranked fourth in total touchdowns (21), seventh in receiving yards (1,577), fifth in kickoff-return yards (899) and fifth in punt-return yards (941).

that's where I first became aware of him. They had a good team in his senior year, and I remember watching at least one of the playoff games on TV. You just knew he was going to be a star one day. I was so chapped when Taman scooped him one spot above us in the CIS draft....

Actually Taman scooped him 4 spots behind us. We took Chungh at 2 and he took Demski at 6, we didn't pick again until 11 and wasted it on Addison Richards. Gotta be honest, not selecting him at 2 was smart. Everyone and their dog knew whoever drafted him was going to lose him to us as soon as he hit FA. The Riders got his rookie years and then he came here for the remainder and peak of career.

I remember the Rider media just gushing over Taman's brilliance at picking up Demski that draft and I also remember saying I wonder how smart they will think he is when he is playing for the Bombers in 2 years.

You're never going to take Demski ahead of Chungh, so it was hoped we could get him at 11, but (as I said earlier) Taman scooped us, by taking him first. Damn shame.

correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the Bomber trying to trade up from 11 (under the condition that Demski was available in the spot they were trading to)?

If memory serves, they had a deal in place to move up and take Demski at 7 if he was still there, but Taman scooped them at 6......

That's possible. I don't recall hearing that but there is a lot you start forgetting when you're in your fifties. lol

And the opposite is true too, making up history in your own mind. I thought he Richards was drafted right after him and the second receiver off the board. Jake Harty was selected by the RBs at 10, one ahead of Richards.

Well at least Taman was kind of on the right track... he selected the very best received in that draft... and it's not even close (Lemar Durant selected 18th overall by Calgary is in very distant second).

That was an uuuuuuuugly draft. Konar looked like a steal at 25 but not so much recently.
