And your covidiot window licker for today: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-enable-air-mask-vaccine-exemptions-1.6221825

A B.C. physician accused of spreading misinformation about COVID-19 is now under investigation for allegedly writing phoney mask and vaccine exemptions offered through a Kelowna-based website.

CBC News has obtained a four-page "declaration certificate of medical exemption including psychosocial conditions" that was purportedly signed by Dr. Stephen Malthouse and produced through a service called EnableAir.com.

That website appears to be connected to another B.C. doctor, Dr. Gwyllyn Goddard, whose medical licence is temporarily inactive.

A copy of the same certificate has been sent to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C. and they are investigating, CBC has confirmed.

A spokesperson for B.C.'s Health Ministry did not answer direct questions about EnableAir.com, but confirmed there is no such thing as an exemption certificate for either masks or vaccines.

EnableAir.com promises "authentic medical exemptions," including QR codes, for people who are "concerned with totalitarian mainstream narratives," and advertises the services of five unnamed Canadian physicians.

It's not clear how much the service costs, but the website warns prospective customers to "mentally prepare for the invoice."

The certificate allegedly signed by Malthouse includes a two-page preamble invoking the Canadian Human Rights Act, the Constitution, the UN's Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights and the Nuremberg Code.

It doesn't offer any specifics about why the bearer should be exempted from mask and vaccine mandates, but offers a long list of possible reasons, including vaccine allergies but also HIV, autism, "impaired social development," asthma, eczema, migraines and "personal belief."

Today's "freedom fighters" of the pandemic: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/employees-protest-federal-vaccine-mandate-1.6223813

Quote

Hundreds of federal public servants are organizing in an effort to avoid complying with the government's new mandatory vaccination rules, despite the government maintaining the mandate is necessary to protect employees from COVID-19.

The group, called Feds for Freedom, says they're not anti-vaccine but don't agree with the policy because — in their view — it violates their rights to privacy and bodily autonomy.

"One member's loss of rights and freedoms is a loss of rights and freedoms for every member across the federal public service," said founder Stacey Payne, adding the group has more than 4,000 supporters.

The group's website provides tips and documents for employees, including sample letters that can be sent to their employer and union.

But Payne insists the volunteer-run group is not offering medical or legal advice, just providing support for workers who feel they're not getting it from their unions.

Imagine being so misinformed in your own union's mandate to think you've got a leg to stand on with such nonsense.

As always, freedom without responsibility.

Here in the U.S., the task of investigating what happened with the pandemic has fallen to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, which has kept a pretty low profile these last few months. But on Tuesday they took the testimony of Dr. Deborah Birx, Trump's COVID-19 coordinator. According to the New York Times, Brix reiterated her earlier shocking claim that at least 130,000 lives were unnecessarily lost because the administration refused to do everything it could to ensure the nation followed the public health recommendations to mitigate the spread of the disease.

But in her testimony this week she also said that as the pandemic wore on into the summer and fall, the administration became distracted by the presidential campaign and pretty much lost interest in the crisis. In other words, a lot of people died so that Donald Trump could get elected.

When asked if she felt Trump did everything he could to save lives, Brix replied, "no."

She also complained about the malign influence of Dr. Scott Atlas, the radiologist who caught Trump's eye on Fox News and was brought in to push the idea that the country should seek "herd immunity," just as Bolsonaro had tried to do in Brazil. She testified that Atlas even brought to the White House the three physicians who later authored the "Great Barrington Declaration," which called for deliberately hastening herd immunity.
