Every time during this pandemic, when ever Kenny or the dire covid situation is brought up- i often wonder how well Notley would have done

We may have been in a slightly better place as there would have been tighter restrictions. Every time we saw the numbers go down it was BOOM!! let's reopen as Kenney was under so much pressure to do so & we did. We then watched the numbers go up. Every freaking time. Notley has a tight grip on her party. There'd have been no discord from disgruntled MLA's. All schools would be closed now if she was in power. Twenty five per cent of all schools in Alberta have outbreaks. Think of that, twenty five per cent! Yet elementary schools stay open. As I said before, glad I'm on an extended medical leave & not driving a school bus anymore this school year.

Some new and encouraging info.

I guess that is encouraging but it's the percentage of the population that is injected that is important. It seems like it's a race between vaccinations and the new variants and their allies the anti masker /conspiracy proponents.  32% is less than halfway to where we need to be.We seem to be hanging right around the EU countries  as a comparison. Far behind the US, %68 all the UK and it's associated lands, about %68 and several middle East countries. ( generally the rich ones ). There is a shocking disparity  between countries in the middle East with Israel , %120  leading the pack and countries like Egypt at less than % 1. The disaster that is India is at %10

Announcement today at 12:30 about new restriction in Manitoba. What's frustrating about that to me is that there was a large rally of anti maskers at the Forks yesterday but no enforcement to be seen.

They MAY have been there taking photos. Which does nothing to deter people from joining the movement. The whole thing is embarrassing as hell. Both the people there and our willingness to either stop it before it happened or to break it up.Not a day I'm proud to be Manitoban.

32% should mean many of the most vulnerable are vaccinated - which should decrease hospitalizations.

Some what, the problem is the new variants are taking out younger healthy people, especially in India. And the biggest fear is that with it running rampant in India it will be a breeding ground for more variants due to the massive population.

They should start off today's press conference by listing the names and addresses of everyone that attended the Forks rally yesterday. Then after they've announced the new restrictions they can say "If you want to complain about this, go see those people".

I live across from a vaccination pop clinic here in Steinbach and the parking lot is full everyday, with people waiting in line  to get in.

That is great to here. Early last week Dr Joss Reimer was tweeting that they still had appointments for that same afternoon, pleading for people to call and make appointment.

I'm so damn embarassed of our city today.  Seriously this many people went to see that lunatic at the Forks?

I am greatly embarrassed to be from Winnipeg for the first time in many many years.

I like the enthusiasm and public shaming may be the answer but for these idiots they would wear it as a badge of pride. Oh how I wish that somoene started a grass fire and the fire department had to show up and hose the all down...

The demonstration at the Forks wasn't so big that it couldn't have been controlled.  All the police would have had to do was "kettle" them and let them out one at a time while they handed out citations and arrested the nut from Saskatchewan. I suspect that if it had been an ANTIFA demonstration the response would have been much different.

There was plenty of time to do something about this before it got to the size it did. The lack of proactive enforcement is just disturbing. There should have been a team of people that greeted Chris Sky at the airport and escorted him to an isolation facility. There could have been a couple cruisers on the lawn at The Forks broadcasting the message that it was an illegal gathering and to disperse or be ticketed. Child and Family Services should have been on site handing out notices to parents that their parental competency was not under official review.

I have been very quiet and purposely not criticized the experts as I know they have information we don't. I can no longer sit here and watch people destroy what chance we had at a normal summer.

Jenks for Premier.  The rally could have been stopped and thst move would be supported by the vast majority  of the province. The trouble is it takes a big set of kahunas to do it and that seems to be sadly lacking.

The ironic (moronic?) thing is that the "anit-lock down / antimasker dumb ***** are the ones doing the most to continue the mask orders and lockdowns?

Seriously, **** these people.
