It's a 98% probability that we'll have a DI defensive lineman as we did last season with Richardson and/or Roh.  Antigha probably takes the DI LB spot and can take reps in different packages in different spots.

You're way overthinking this 4 months out.  Richardson was a rookie last year and they'll be a bunch of guys competing for jobs again at the bottom of the roster both Canadian and import.

We have had no problem finding good Imp DL. Bryant, and richardson inside and lots of ends. I am sure we will see another dog fight for spots on the DL in this years camp with new guys threatening the jobs of vets.

Farhan had an interesting tweet today saying that the Leos are still very interested in Walker (who isn't?) but apparently "his people" seem to not understand the market correction that's gone on regarding salaries. Sounds like he's asking for WAY more than anyone will pay.

Not sure what the problem is really... if posey and Daniels get $200k how is derel walker not worth 250... must be asking 280 I guess

If Posey and Daniels got $200k very quickly, Walker was probably asking over $250k. Based on Posey and Daniels at $200k, Walker is worth $230k max.

I think some guys like Rhymes are going to max out NFL interest and sign late

At this point a guy who is borderline NFL material has nothing to lose by waiting until spring.  Teams cap structure is pretty much set, they won't lose money and might even gain a bit by waiting until camp to sign with injuries etc, teams getting skittish about how their roster is shaping up.

The problem is pretty clear. Walker can be worth 250k, nobody’s arguing that. There isn’t 250k left.

Well if Ottawa doesn’t have 250 they have really messed up...  BC should have it

every year we say there’s no $$ and then teams still sign big names

Star receiver Derel Walker doesn’t care if CFL general managers say all the money is spent.

Walker wants his view of value on the next contract he signs. However, TSN’s Farhan Lalji reports Walker’s ‘side still may not fully grasp the realities of the new free agent market.

$280,000 last year.
$2??,???  this year.

“But talking to different guys around the league and the guys who play in Winnipeg and they were all talking about the organization and how it changes you as a player, about how much they loved playing there"

Only way to end the drought..... was finally bringing in the right management and the right coach.     They built the culture, I had been looking for forever.  Expect this team to be a perennial contender.

Why I got so angry at the folks ready to fire everyone.

Stability with good people in charge gets you where you need to be.
