Andrew Harris suspended for 2 games

AS someone who has first hand knowledge of this from my past...as have used..and saw back when teams actually encouraged and administered to you if you wanted and it so I have to side with Andrew for a few reasons

Teams gave a very thorough tutorial so to speak on what each drugs duration in your system was and where it would show test wise..blood..urine and the drugs half life. Also from testing protocol when urine and blood test are administered...and came back clean like they did then the athlete wasn't using...the only other thing that could be done above and beyond that to go one step further is fat samples as it lingers there...but that is never done

...and then a subsequent urine test 10 days later came back with minimal traces of it showing??...makes no sense and has to be some type of contamination or a bad test....even with an oral steroid taken immediately after his first test..the weakest of the weak would show large amounts in system for at least 14 days...undeniable amounts

Also the drug he is apparently accused of is pretty much impossible to get now...more or less discontinued other than from black market suppliers...And I have never heard of a professional athlete going that route to get a drug...basically not made from a legit producer...way to many risks in that.

Thats also why we got an extensive list of supplement companies as well where their "proprietary" blends of ingredients didn't actually say what amount of what was in it..or even if all ingredients are even listed..also as odd as it may seem that industry isn't even regulated, and companies can put whatever they want in their stuff without any recourse, or inspection  and things are only pulled off shelves or investigated after reports of questionable things....sadly a lot of time that is deaths or serious health issues

Im not. I just read all the statements and how many times hes been tested and the fact he was tested 10 days prior.

To me, this is def something he didnt knowingly take.

Besides this test was done July 12th.. Over a month ago. Hell 6 weeks ago. Results just out now?

Harris is a stand up guy.. Straight shooter. U don't have to believe him but i will.

actually...companies do ...been many instances of things that are banned...sells the product and if you read my other post..things arn't  regulated...

happens all the time...trust me

If this is the case, then the only way to deal with this is to have all supplements supplied through the team, with samples kept for testing.  It would seem to me that if contamination is a thing, then any athlete wanting to use supplements would be putting himself/herself in jeopardy trying to manage this themselves.

Saying cross contamination doesn't happen is silly.

It does.

Microdosing is also a thing, so the levels mean less to me.

He should be having whatever supplement he claims to have taken tested, but I doubt he has the money to pursue the supplier even if he did take it by accident.

Not a good look for a 32 year old RB

how many times have we heard the play by play guys this year say things like 'Harris just seem to be getting better with age', when RARELY does that ever happen in high performance sports....so... not totally shocking.  My worry is that he's got 2-3 more tests after this that could come back with the same result.  That would net him at the very least, with a second failed test, a 9 game suspension essentially ending his season!

We have to hope that this is somehow a mistake..... better start combing the NFL roster cuts for a running back!
