Chevy taking some big gambles - and the cupboard seems to be pretty bare now...

Would way rather have overpaid Chiarot and bought out Kulikov then simply wait for Kuli to get hurt or play nicked up

Three year window to win the cup and the D is in rebuild

And our best D forward left.

Jets appear to be moving away from the bruiser D who cant pass... They appear to be moving towards more mobile D.. Lots of problems with breakouts being 2 slow last season or D carrying the puck in to the other end... 1 of our biggest teams strengths is forward speed.. Get them pucks in flight... Saw them standing around 2 much last year cuz outside of Josh, our D couldnt hit a pass.

Chiarot at 1.5 is good. Chiarot at 3.5 is bad. Hes likely a 3rd pairing D whose negatives were hidden cuz he played mostly with Buff, when not with Buff he was awful.

I just want to say I thought the Blues had big D. Seemed like they all 6.4"

Looking at them on NHL.com 6.0, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4x3, 6.6

Who cares what the Blues had. The Blues had a hot goalie is what they really had. That big Blues D struggled against the quicker Jets tho and if not for 2 3rd period collapses we win the series.

Blues rolled four lines through the playoffs...  Maurice will never do that
