Stupid tweet..i think Pionk is definitely better offensively but defensively Trouba is a better shut down defender..plus we miss his size. Its way too early ethier way.

Yeah, this is pretty silly and perhaps even a bit petty on Pascucci's part. I suppose it could be argued Trouba isn't playing up to par with his salary but that's neither here nor there (the same argument could be made for Morrissey) and the reality is there's more to it than just looking at the money and the statistics.

Trouba was a key piece of the blue line here. Comparing him to Pionk doesn't make much sense, IMO.

I'd rather have Trouba for his size and strength. It's tough to gauge Trouba's offensive abilities. On the Jets he  was always behind Buff and Myers. Great first year(10g) and great last year (42a).

Pionk is the RHD equivalent of Morrissey though. Not big but hockey stick smart.

By end of year he will be. Oh and go away Oiler fan. I have to many around me as it is. Love you tho.

❤️  As long as one of my two teams (hey, there's like 32 of them...gotta have a back up) is playing well and giving me something worth watching, I'm all good. If both the Oilers and Jets are a bag of ****, that's when I can't watch NHL at all....

The court documents state Kane, who is a Canadian citizen, took out eight credits of varying amounts between $20,000 and $100,000 on or about April 15. That date would have fallen between games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup playoff series between the Sharks and the Vegas Golden Knights.”

We need a draft in the summer. Change some perception but over half didnt say Winnipeg.

This. Getting the city to host a NHL Entry Draft would be a nice way to showcase Winnipeg to the league and the fans.

I think the last two years of playoffs helped the city's image to some degree, too. Those Whiteout Parties downtown were a fantastic time.

I mean.. Im not sure what players want tho. You are here to play.. If that's me maybe i go for a meal, we got lots of options, maybe i go score some coke Or molly, and ya.. Chill in the hotel? I likely wouldn't be out shopping or exploring if I'm in town for business for 1 damn day really.

PS: i wouldn't score coke but lost in all this wpg is **** stuff, like the nhl has a huge coke and molly problem

These are players that fly in late, go to bed, get up the next day, walk to the arena to practice, go eat, play the game and fly out. They are not seeing Winnipeg. They don't hang out a few days and take in the sites.

It's cold in winter. It's dark in winter. Not even sure why they ask the players these questions.

This. What is the point of polling a bunch of millionaire athletes, anyway? I guess it generates a discussion, albeit a needless one. Bottom line: you get to play a sport for a living, traveling around the continent (and sometimes the world), all the while getting paid pretty obscene amounts of money and being treated like kings.

Then again, this is an ESPN thing... So, I wouldn't expect much hard-hitting hockey coverage from there. "Let's poll 50 NHL players and extrapolate the data."

Interesting how in all of the attention this poll is getting, this quote gets ignored: https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/28006296/most-dreaded-road-trip-best-dressing-room-gritty-fatigue

Quote

"I'm sure a lot of people said Winnipeg, but I always like Winnipeg. There's stuff to do there. We're close to the casino, if you want to go for a half hour or whatever. Wherever you go, they always have TSN on. I can't get that here [on my U.S.-based team]."

The quote about a player needing to wash his face after being outside here is actually pathetic. That's the dumbest **** I've read in a good while.

Keep in mind those players see the area around the fairmont.  So...they’re not wrong.

Are they still at the Fairmont? The one guy who liked it mentioned the casino and im like what casino?

Would have thought The Alt is where they stay now.

As for rest of poll I'm shocked that EDM(WEM) and CAL(red mile) even got votes.

Hey at least no one called us the murder capital of canada...yet.
