ah i see...thanks.

And, he negotiates his own deals. They'll probably wait until the off-season before negotiating anything new. That's also what they've said publicly.

In this new cap world, I won't blame teams for negotiating one and two year deals. You wouldn't want to cripple yourself financially.

any idea how many years Chamblin got on his deal? Nobody's talking about the possibility that the Argos go full moron and keep him on next year.....also, if they do can him, and they're on the hook for his salary, it might impede just how much money they can throw at Osh. If this were the old days, where you could give a guy a blank cheque, it would be a LOT tougher to keep Osh around...

It's Chamblin and his staff. Do you want to be a new HC and get saddled with the leftovers from the previous regime? Yikes.

I'm sure Ambrosie will implement some sort of Argo-rule to get around the cap.

So you've heard the rumour that Taman is dusting off his good sweatpants?

When Chamblin was hired Dunk had this to say, so they might also be paying for Trestman as well which would make it even more difficult for them to lure MOS away.

Quote

Trestman’s $675,000 salary will either have to be amortized over five years or renounced altogether – a move teams can make for one coach every five years.

He did, just not in a dogs age.

Im kind of surprised pinball is again stepping into the argos front office. I always thought more of him as a coach then a scout.

Im betting since pinball isnt the coach and they have established the top half of the regime, they will target MoS as their primary target in the off season.

I really think that if you are gonna go with Masoli, you gotta use a hamilton heavy style of offense. I dont see him doing well in a traditional cfl offense.

Who knows what kind of offense theyll run. Will have completely new staff and philosophy.

Masoli is a run and shoot QB.  If someone signed Masoli planning on doing something else they'd just be plain stupid.  His skill set and the core of that philosophy mesh perfectly.

This is what Streveler could evolve into..just not under LaPolice. If they go after Masoli, it better not be with LaPo still on the staff.

Maybe but Streveler is a totally different kind of QB.  He'd really have to develop cohesion with a group of receivers and the ability to make great pre-snap reads and quick throws.  That's all run and shoot is, if we see this, we're throwing here and the receiver changes route accordingly.  The receiver and QB need to read the same things.  There's not a lot of RPO and someone like Harris would be totally wasted in a Run and Shoot.  Also really focused on cutting down the reads and cutting the field in half for the QB, easy reads, easy throws.  Can be really killed by a great zone defense, but it seems like teams have a lot of trouble scheming zone lately and prefer to just blitz wildly.

Streveler has to show a better ability to read a defence than he does now to play run and shoot...that's for sure. BTW, haven't you heard? Brock Streveler aka RIleysRompers from RIderfans has informed us that Andrew can no longer break tackles anyway.
