I'd be curious to see what the shot totals are compared from last season to this season.   To me it feels like this year we have had many more games where our goalies have had to make a tonne of saves...

Id imagine the high danger scoring chances are wayyy up.

Jets' 10 game and monthly splits this year:

1-10:   6-3-1       Oct:  7-4-1

11-20: 6-3-1       Nov: 7-4-1

21-30: 7-3-0       Dec: 11-4-0

31-40: 6-4-0       Jan: 7-4-0 with 1 game to go.

41-50: 7-3-0

Pretty consistent for all of teeth gnashing by fans this year.

Last year's Jets had a Patrik Laine that had some confidence.

Umm.. 1 player does not make a team.. Last year the team believed in the system.. D first... This year looks like they might not be all agreeing. Ppl talk about Laine cuz hes an easy target but.. Every member of the Jets top 6 have looked lost and disinterested at times especially in the D zone.

The top 6 have gone for significant stretches this season with absolutely awful defensive zone play. It's a bit baffling considering they seemed to have it locked down for the bulk of last season.

The fact the Jets are winning despite Laine's worst career slump does say a lot about the team, IMO. They're still finding ways to win - and that is what matters above all else.

As for Laine, he still is only 20 years old. Remember where Scheifele was when he was 20. Look at him now.
