You mean behind the Oline that allowed the fewest sacks?   9 less than you

well when you run less offensive plays over course of season, use a dumb 80% hitch/screen/dump off offence where qb has ball in his hand for maybe one second (due to crappy o-line) yeah u may see fewer sacks....I seem to recall we led league in rushing..scored most points...and re-watch how that oline totally manhandled your vaunted d-line in the WSF...not to mention what...3 all-stars?...seems to me one team had a far superior o-line 😉

Are you describing our offense or yours?  1 out of every 5 receptions Nichols had was to Harris.  Your dump and run offense should be very hard to get any sacks against. NVM your dominant oline🙄.

You assume that the reference was to the Rider O-line. We could have been referring to disgruntled fans when their quarterback fails to win every game. Or they might dump a load of Regina gold on his lawn.

did you calculate the 1 in 5?..lol....a lot of his were developing plays down the filed or off in the flats...not a qb receiving the snap...turning to his right and tossing all in a second. And if you would honestly say that you would not swap the sask o-line for the winnipeg one..man for man...then you must really have the mentality of most on Rider fans..

If the Bombers are smart, and Streveler shows more improvement and progression this year, and that he can run the offence then Walter's should be in his ear late in season saying that they will extend him for 2020 as the starter, and once season ends at some point move Nichols for whatever we can get, or outright release him if he doesn't agree to restructure as a veteran back-up

Matts play will impact this.   If he plays so well we end up in first or second to finish the season.... an then he gets us to the cup game there is no way you can deny him the starter role the following season......    an if Matt is winning how does Chris get enough developing reps ....

Most likely running the short yardage packages and staying in like last year, and I can see it expanded on as well.

I would think this year as well..Oshea may give him more meaningfull game reps when game is out of hand on the scoreboard

What's with the LOL?  Nichols had 254 receptions and Harris had 58.  one in every 4.38 passes were caught by the running back. Even if you factor in shreveler's number its still only one in every 5.86 passes caught by Harris total. Fact remains, you dump the ball off a lot.  I would not swap our line for yours. I would take Goosen though, but maybe we will just get him for free now that you can't afford him.  Hope you guys had a good xmas and stuff and are ready for another year of football

So you would not want the best tackles combo in the league?

New HC's won't be able to pick their own staff under the Management SMS world. Only 2 things can happen. Either new HC will have to accept the current coaches or coaches will only get 1 year contracts. No firing of HC's during the season and bringing someone else in anymore either unless it's someone on the current staff.

And what was the depth of all Harris receptions. Not behind the line of scrimmage and a good majority were like u said..dump offs after going through reads.

Majority of yours were first reads and quite often to your wideouts and slots..not the same situ at all..and really proof is in da puddin..look at offensive stats and td's..as we all know a good offence starts and ends with a solid oline..so based on that alone being dead last in offence lands intelligent people to see a bad line.

All joking aside, the Riders faithful are upset at the situation but the blame should solely rest on two men Chris Jones and Reynolds. In 2015 these two men engaged in back room negotiations during the season in order to completely blindside a divisional rival. This stunk so badly the CFL had to create new rules to make sure it didn't happen again. For the first time in CFL history other teams now needed league approved consent to hire a coach away from another team. Rider fans cackled with glee at how they screwed over the Evil Empire.

3 years later the man who tampered with Jones got a heavy dose of karma by trusting him. Gone was the savior because Reynolds was too stupid to get a cutoff date on Jones NFL out clause. Now faced with needing to poach another coach got an even bigger dose of karma when the rule created because of his cheating bit him in the nads. Rider fans are still crying foul...but the rest of the CFL says ..HA HA Karma beyotch! Hows the tampering and acting in poor faith working out 4 you now?

Not to mention that the Sask qbs never stayed in the pocket either, especially with Bridge. They always had them move out of the pocket cause they knew if they stayed in the pocket it was game over.

Yeah it's sort of like a couple years ago when the Esks OL gave up the least sacks because Reilly escaped all the time. It's a nice number, but it really doesn't mean much. Everyone who knows anything about the CFL knows that the Bombers had the best OL in the league the last few years.

Of course you gave up the fewest sacks, your offense was never on the field. Only Montreal had more 2-and-outs (103) than SSK (100). SSK also had the second-least offensive plays from scrimmage (tied with BC; 981), once again only Montreal (886) was worse.

Jones left town so fast he forgot to turn off the porch light, didn't have the courtesy or the nerve to hold a press conference thanking anyone for the opportunity or support.  Weasel was and weasel shall be.

Reynolds shòuld have been expecting that. Jones has always been a me first merc and has a long history of jumping ship and leaving his employers in a bad predicament.

The Jonestown crew discounted this possibility because now he worked for the Riders...but Reynolds shouldn't have. He erred grieviously.
