For minor off-season non-Bomber CFL news.  Any significant stories or news that is likely to generate significant discussion may have its own thread created. General Bomber news can be found here.

The idea of The Jon Ryan Express 2.0 is a romantic one indeed, but it should stay in the past. Sequels generally don’t outdo the originals.

Besides,

Medlock is fond of experimenting with finding new ways to punt the ball, as in getting different spins and bounces. He’s doing a great job at that. Anything to help our special teams.

He wants to be here and he’s doing a great job. Let’s leave it that way..

This bears repeating...

CFL NEWS

“Ontario is set to approve of U.S.-style tailgating outside stadiums and arenas.”

TORONTO – “Sports fans in Ontario will soon be able to have a drink and tailgate before a game.”

https://globalnews.ca/news/5140970/ontario-tailgating-amendment/

Bravo Ontario - Now we’re talking...

Trestman will be back there once XFL folds in its first season

Possibly, but it doesn't even launch until 2020, which would mean if he came back it would then be 2021 when he did so under that scenario.  Assuming the Als have brought in a new owner or are owned by a large group of shareholders with a board of directors by then, there's no telling what kind of direction they'll have taken by then.  Plus Trestman will be 65, which isn't terribly old but certainly puts him much closer to retiring at that point than coming back here to try and reinvent himself again, and after what happened in Toronto idk how eager he'd be to get back into it.

Yeah I was kidding...  they will want stability - probably Barker and he'll bring in Ricky Ray as HC

Now if we could only get Pallister to do same and remove the minimum pricing for shots.

Oh and can I get puck bunnies to clean the ice at Jets games?

That's the CFL Horsemen tailgate with Geo Jones Dog looking up. If any Bombers fans come to McMahon Stadium, look these guys up. They're good guys & fans from other CFL teams are warmly welcomed.  You'll be fed & the football talk will be enriching. They have an old motorhome they use & signage so they're easy to find in the east side parking lot.

Dude... We've been fighting for this for decades.

It won't fix everything overnight... But it's a relief that my local governments are finally willing to treat me like an adult who can decide to have a cold beer in a parking lot by the lake before a football game and not have anyone get hurt by it. Like it should have ever been any of their concern...
