Can you believe that bum Darvin Adams was named an Western All-Star! He's terrible! He should be released! (that's sarcasm btw)

Now now, no one has ever said he should be released. All we have said is that he's not good enough to be a teams top receiver and I'll stand by that no matter how many times he is an allstar.

Lots of you also said Nichols should be sitting and Streveler should be starting and MOS should be fired.

It's a good thing fans don't run football teams.

The positions in football have evolved, and maybe, likewise, so should an all-star selection. All’s I know is, I would have a difficult time not having a Singleton or a Bighill on my all-star team.

But you probably wouldn't employ either of them as your starting SAM.

Two of the other western all star receivers missed nearly half the year. That shows you all you need to know about the quality of competition.

This full list:

https://www.cfl.ca/2018/11/08/simply-best-shaw-cfl-award-nominees-announced-2/

MOP: Bo Levi vs Masoli
MOC: Harris vs Sinopoli
MODP: Bighill vs Larry Dean
MOOL: Bryant vs Brandon Revenberg
MOST: Ty Long vs Lewis Ward
MOR: Jordan Lambert-Williams vs Lewis Ward
MOC: Chris Jones vs Rick Campbell

My Picks: Mitchell because he's better.... Sinopli b/c the media prefers the east.... Bighill, should be unanimous...  Revenberg b/c he's Canadian... Lewis Ward b/c 42 consecutive (or whatever it was) is very impressive... JLW b/c the leagues needs to pander to the riders... Jones b/c it guarantees the clown show will continue for at least another year...

Lots of idiots said that. Go back to your shanty and let Bomber fans talk about the Bombers. As a Rider fan you barely know anything about your own team let alone other teams.

1000 yards and 10 touchdowns is fine top receiver production.

It's not about numbers, it's about how they perform when put in a position where they need to be the star, and Adams has failed. The fact that this team can't win without Dressler in the lineup says everything we need to know about Adams ability to be the teams top receiver.

at the time, absolutely Nichols should have been sat down... he was awful Mid-August to Mid-September.   It's amazing what a bye week can do though.  He's been fairly solid since, with no turnovers!

but doesn't second most receiving TD's with only the 11th most receptions in the league say that he does seem to perform?? and not about numbers is kind of a dumb statement...if you put up numbers does that not mean you perform?...

Exactly. He’s a legit number one receiver. Not the best in the league but one of the best big play receivers, and red zone receivers in the game. Not his fault he gets double teamed because our other American receivers other than Dressler are useless.

I would say her performs well as a secondary guy. He's Robin, not Batman.

Adams is a talented guy, who can produce.....when he is focused and locked in.   But threatening the D on the other side of the field, with the deep ball, has been an issue.

Matty did a bit more with the longer throws last game he started..... he does more of it this Sunday and it can take him from game manager to game changer..... if Matt makes a few nice longer tosses early the riders won't know how to defend it an what they had planned......and then everything opens up for us and we blow them out.......

There is absolutely zero correlation between the two. What poor logic. I won't make excuses for Adams' shortcomings but his numbers this season and last when Dressler was injured aren't bad:

2017: 7 GP, 469 yards, 3 TDs
2018: 4 GP, 309 yards, 4 TDs

And an all-star nod is about numbers (production). It's an individual nomination for a player having a good individual campaign. 1000 yards and 10 TDs is more than sufficient for the nod he received.
