Sad that Lankford is kicking.  At least bring someone in off the street who might kick in a meaningful game, ideally a young Canadian.

Who cares? Medlock is going to be our kicker next year, not whoever we sign off the street.

Let Lankford kick and have some fun before the playoffs.

Why? Both clubs know this game is meaningless, it doesn't even affect how we finish in the standings. This game, and its results are nothing more than a formality.

Meaningless to Maas? Sure, that's why he's dressing his starters who will play all day. A big eff you to the backups on the Esks by their HC. He's coaching to save his job.

I guess the logic here would be they could celebrate a .500 season? 9-9 does sound better than 8-10, though missing the playoffs is still missing the playoffs. No issue with him being a jerk to their backups - they're a divisional rival let their team crash and burn all they want.

Looking at the crowd or lack there of.. I'd say someone needs to go this off season

The other side of the coin is if Maas sits his starters it's a big eff u to them and even a bigger eff u to his starters if he wins with the back ups. He actually would be taking less of a risk by starting his back ups because if he loses today to our predominately 2nd team there will be a bus ticket waiting for him at the end of the game.

Say what u want but Lankford is in the cfl history books now

Only player to score a TD and kick a FG in the same season

Nope. back in the days of 32 man rosters all kinds of players started other positions but also kicked & punted. Example, Don Jonas led the league in passing & scoring as a qb/kicker in 1971. He won the Schenley Award in 1971 as the CFL's MOP.

Guess that is what every other HC is saying to their starters who are sitting then? But I get your point. Disagree, though.
