I guess when the fans finally say enough, I'm not plunking down 500 bucks a ticket to make the owners and players super rich....
SpeedFlex27
NBA franchises with a few exceptions are generally are valued nearly twice as much as NHL franchises. Not including the Rangers, Flyers, Blackhawks & Maple Leafs. But their salary structures for 12 players is crazy.

Yeah, there are exceptions like successful big market NBA teams. It still boggles the mind that Sacramento, Oklahoma City, Charlotte, New Orleans or Portland have teams worth more than most NHL teams.

How much more than the average fan do these owners and players need to make? When are the fans going to wake up and realize that the greed to take their money looks like it will never end? The end of cable TV will have the largest impact on how we consume live sports. I don't think it's going to cause a crash, rather, the sports leagues will be successful (or not) based on how they market, package and deliver their product. They will need to deliver the product directly to the fans, removing the networks. It should be interesting. bb1
