This season.  Only for offside challenges.

Quote

The NHL is making a very interesting rule change for the 2017-18 season, introducing a harsher penalty for one particular video review.

From now on, a failed offside challenge will result in a two-minute penalty against the club asking for the review. It’s a potentially powerful infraction. Can you imagine a team in a tight game giving up a goal it thought was offside, losing the challenge, then having to withstand an immediate power-play opportunity? It’s going to make bench bosses much more wary — and ratchet up the pressure on video coaches.

The top two lines were pretty lousy last night, especially in their own zone. Stastny was fantastic and his chemistry with Laine and Ehlers was pretty impressive considering it was their first together.

Giving up two two-goal leads on home ice is pretty inexcusable. Last night's loss should be a good reality check for this team going into the final stretch and the playoffs, and a good reminder of the importance of playing well defensively.

that was one of our first tests of what playoff hockey is going to be like, and it didn't go well.   They need to tighten up considerably if we're going to make any noise in the playoffs, otherwise it's another first round exit.

Team needs Lowry and Trouba healthy for the playoffs...

Thought the top lines were pretty decent actually - good game, but the team is just too loose after goals - that's on coaching I'm sorry

Myers needs a rest - he's getting worse defensively as the season progresses, would be good to get him back to 3rd D pairing

I'm not as down on Morrow/Chiarot - for 12 mins a game they are what they are... could have been worse

In the end, we probably win if Maurice doesn't challenge that offside
