Well, the very first article of impeachment against Nixon was.......

Obstruction by directing others to lie.

That is a serious charge, the kind that will get Trump thrown to the wolves, no escaping that one. Looks like it's only a matter of time now before we find out just how indebted to the Russian's Trump really is.

.....try about 400-450 Million Dollars (via a certain German bank that has a long history of laundering money for the Russians)

Yup, the position of presidential candidate opened up new business opportunities for Trump with the Russians, among others. I don't think he ever expected to win but when he did, that kind of made those business relations look like payoffs.

Reporting that Trump was taken aback when Barr described his close relationship with Mueller.  lol  Can you imagine if he tried to yank Barr's nomination?

Buzzfeed's story hasnt been confirmed by other news outlets but Buzzfeed said it's rock solid and goes beyond two sources.

If true, it's the smoking gun and it's the end of Trumps's Presidency...unless the GOP saves him in the Senate by effectively proclaiming him above the law.  And if he is removed, that eliminated the barrier to indictment and likely sets him up for criminal charges and jail time.

Buzzfeed also reported that Mueller had emails to back it up, that's pretty much game over.

I am stunned that Trump has ordered some federal employees to report to work without being paid. Firstly, some of these "essential services workers" are those tasked with issuing petroleum exploration permits- hardly "essential".  Secondly, I'm pretty sure that being ordered to work without payment under threat is a classic definition of slavery. How can the American courts countenance this?

Either he doesnt care (which is probably always true) or he thinks the workers will be angry and it will put pressure on the Dems.  Someone has convinced him that he's right and the Dems are wrong and the public agrees.  But the polling doesnt support that.  Ordering people to work unpaid is likely only going to add pressure to his own position.

Maybe he thinks if the government is shut down he can't be arrested, indicted, impeached or removed.  lol

As more info about the Trump mafia comes out  Don Vito will start to lose support from Republican';s fearing that they will go down for supporting a crime boss, his base is starting to dwindle and American's are starting to realize that the whole Trumpioso family is dirty in business and in personal life, something many have known for years

Not necessarily. These are the same people who still believe that Obama was born in Kenya and is a secret Muslim, and invaded a hapless pizza parlour armed to the teeth on the belief that Hillary was operating a pedophile ring out of a non-existent basement there. There will be some reasonably sane supporters who have seen or will see the massive scam they bought into and fade away but more than half of those who claim to be Republicans would be quite ok with the imposition of a right-wing/ "Christian)" dictatorship in the US. Both the right wing and fundamentalist "Christians" subscribe to the "trust and obey" dictates and delegate their morality to others. You may want to look into the Stanford Project some time.

There are 26 Republican incumbents up for re-election in the Senate, this next go round.
The Shutdown's effects are going to really mushroom, very soon....With the Republican "leadership" in House and Senate, prostrate on all fours and bending over for Trump - they will get to wear it, as each day passes.

There's a good reason Cocaine Mitch won't let them vote, he's afraid they'll pass it (again) but this time with a super-majority so Trump can't veto it.

In fact, the best strategy for Trump in this situation would be to allow the vote to come without the ability to veto it. He can jump up and down and try to make it an election issue. He can tweet away in his diaper and throw things.

Of course, we all know that he won't make it to the next election but still...
