spying for a foreign power.  Americans have executed people for that.

I am opposed to capital punishment, but would make an exception for Trump.

😂

"President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he refused to answer questions while appearing in a New York attorney general's civil probe into alleged fraud at the Trump Organization.

According to a statement posted to his social media site, Trump asserted his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination when speaking under oath."

'Law enforcement had serious concerns': Reporter reveals FBI gained access to Mar-a-Lago surveillance footage

A new report is shedding more light on the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) findings during the search of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. According to CNN, new details have emerged about the FBI gaining access to Mar-a-Lago surveillance footage.

During Wednesday's segment of CNN's "At This Hour" with host Kate Bolduan, Katelyn Polantz offered a brief update on what transpired at the former president's estate on Tuesday, August 9.
"There were new details about FBI's Florida home," Bolduan said. "CNN has learned from investigators that the former president or his team did not return the government documents that were taken when they left the White House."

Polantz chimed in with further details about what was retrieved during the search. "It's been two days since the search and we are learning more about what prompted it in Mar-a-Lago on Monday," Polantz explained.

"So, law enforcement had serious concerns about what was happening there on the Trump side," she noted. "Back in January, the national archives went to Florida to reclaim 15 boxes of records from the Trump presidency that were not Trump's to keep. So, we knew that."

Polantz added, "And then that incident launched this criminal investigation into the handling of classified records. Then this week, of course, the DOJ goes back in with a search warrant for more boxes and documents and those records, if they had gotten out, could have national security implications and that's according to our sources now."

The CNN correspondent went on to share details about the surveillance videos the FBI gained access to at the former president's estate. "So we also know in this investigation that federal authorities subpoenaed and received access to Mar-a-Lago's surveillance videos so that they were able to understand the security around these documents in recent weeks," she said.

No, no, no, this is different. This is Trump. He loves this Country. He fights the establishment, the Swamp, it fears him.  He's being persecuted. Bannon says they are going to assassinate him. Hannity says this has been a bogus raid. TC has insights none of us could possibly understand. MTG knows what she's saying when she says Defund the FBI. She and others are fighting for us, for our rights, our freedoms, our liberties.. He's taken the fifth because they planted stuff on him because Trump would not lie to us. I can hardly wait until all these people pay for what they have done to us and to him. We are Patriots and we will not back down. This is our Country. Facts matter. God is on our side. The day of reckoning is near.

Totally sane argument sane people have never said.

I've  never watched either or honestly heard of them so no. Just maybe local and Google and Facebook comments appear to be highly in favour of the Donald and his way. I'm not a fan of the Donald tho, he's creepy and always has been. He masterbates to pictures of himself masterbating. Dude ain't right

Years ago comedy central did the roast of Donald Trump

It's worth a watch. Dude is just creepy with no sense of humor. But he's not Joe Biden

Can't recall where I read it, but when they did that roast, the  rule was they couldn't joke about Trump not having as much money as he said he did. He was paranoid of that image of him.

Trump Launches Conspiracy Theory That FBI Was 'Planting' Evidence At Mar-a-Lago  and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has joined the right-wing influencers backing him up.

Former president Donald Trump and his allies are preemptively warning that any incriminating evidence found at his Florida estate was planted there by the FBI.

Trump complained on his ersatz social media platform Wednesday that his lawyers were not allowed to observe the federal agents who searched the property on Monday.

“Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, ‘planting,’” Trump wrote. “Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out?”

The FBI searched Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida, reportedly as part of an investigation into Trump’s well-documented refusal to turn over presidential records at the end of his term. The Justice Department has not divulged any details about the investigation.

The National Archives and Records Administration has said Trump belatedly delivered 15 boxes of documents this year. Because the boxes contained classified material that the president had removed from the White House, the agency said it notified the Department of Justice.

Instead of waiting for any information about the investigation, Republicans in Congress have rushed to Trump’s defense, saying they will retaliate against the Justice Department and suggesting that it’s fundamentally improper to investigate whether the former president broke the law. Now Trump’s allies are also saying that if a crime was committed, Trump didn’t do it.

Right-wing influencers such as Newt Gingrich, Charlie Kirk, Alex Jones and Steve Bannon on Tuesday came up with the theory that the FBI raided Trump’s property to plant evidence. Fox News host Jesse Waters amplified the baseless claim on his show that evening.

It will be interesting to see what Trump had in his possession illegally and what his intent was. Maybe the FBI and DOJ caught wind that Trump was getting ready to sell the classified information because lets face it he is no patriot he only cares about money. Also all these people musing that the FBI planted evidence should offer proof by telling Trump to show the receipt he got and explain which items that where gathered were planted.

Actually I’m more in the camp that speech is free, lies you pay for. Enough with offer me proof. You say outlandish things just to seed doubt, you need to pay for it immediately. I f’ing hate that anyone can have a social media platform to lie with no consequences.

Inserted into a bill Trump signed into law in January 2018 was a provision increasing the punishment for knowingly removing classified materials with the intent to retain them at an “unauthorized location.” Now, a person convicted of violating this law can face up to five years in prison ― making it a felony-level offense to mishandle classified documents under 18 U.S.C. 1924.

I think fake outrage (actually Trump probably believes he is a victim) is the only item in his tool kit. Rage and lies have served him handsomely for most of his 77 years, so that is his "go-to". He has surrounded himself with enough lickspittles that literally anything he does will be applauded. When all you have is a hammer, you tend to see all problems as nails. We (and America) have not seen the most extreme of Trump yet.

FBI Director details the 'deplorable' threats he’s received since Mar-a-Lago search

The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) recently shared details about the disturbing threats he's received since agents searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago property in Florida.

On Wednesday, August 10, Christopher Wray called the threats leveled toward the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice “deplorable and dangerous.”
"I’m always concerned about threats to law enforcement,” Wray said during a news conference at the FBI's Omaha, Neb., office. “Violence against law enforcement is not the answer, no matter who you’re upset with.”

Many of the threats have been made via social media platforms that typically cater to far-right extremists and Trump supporters. Per HuffPost, "reactions included the ubiquitous 'Lock and load' and calls for federal agents and even U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to be assassinated."

On the social media platform Gab, one social media user who only goes by the name Stephen said that he was "awaiting 'the call' to mount an armed revolution.  “All it takes is one call. And millions will arm up and take back this country. It will be over in less than 2 weeks,” the post said.

Another posting on the same platform also said, “Let's get this started! This unelected, illegitimate regime crossed the line with their GESTAPO raid! It is long past time the lib socialist filth were cleansed from American society!”

Gunfire With Police: Reports
“Law enforcement has traded shots with a male suspect who is wearing a gray shirt and body armor,” an alert said.

Police have exchanged gunfire with an armed man after he made threats at an FBI building in Cincinnati, according to reports.

The incident began Thursday morning after a man armed with a gun showed up to the building and began making threats, the FBI said in a statement.

“At approximately 9 AM this morning an armed subject attempted to breach the Visitor Screening Facility at #FBI Cincinnati,” the FBI’s Cincinnati bureau said on Twitter. “After an alarm and a response by FBI special agents, the subject fled north onto Interstate 71.”

Update: an asterisk was added to state this does not apply to Donald J Trump as obviously evidence was planted, he’s being framed if he is ever accused of this.
