Trump questioned whether or not he qualified to be President because he was born in Canada, which is obviously quite different from suggesting that Obama was lying about where he was born, saying that he was born in Kenya. (Because he's black and should never have been voted president) No one has questioned where Cruz was born just whether or not it makes him ineligible to hold the office of President. He would work the birther angle against any competitor who wasn't born in Canada. Just to be clear, it was not about whether he was allowed to be president, it was that he was a black-muslim plant from Kenya. You would need a constitutional amendment to do it. I don't think that there are enough votes to get anything like that passed. I also don't think that there is enough political desire. But, I agree. let the voters decide who they want as President.
