Usually, the US parties use their convention to produce a platform articulating its priorities for the next president.  The GOP has dispensed with producing a 2020 platform.  Instead, the Republican National Committee passed a resolution renewing what delegates enacted in 2016, bashing the news media and offering "whole hearted support for Mr. Trump." 

So, the Republican Party’s official stance in 2020 is that it is simply for whatever Mr. Trump says.  Whatever the hell that might be, on Twitter, or on his fake "news conferences"

As clearly illustrated, the last few days, the bottom line, is that GOP political and intellectual thought..... has now been reduced to.... fapping for Donald Trump.

Sad.
