But I suppose if Trump was essentially a mob boss, thats okay as long as it was before he was President, according to some people. He then lied about it (as did Ivanka). And is refusing to comply with Congress' request for materials related to this. Witch hunt? Come on... Foreign interference in US elections continues. Gee I wonder why. Maybe gutting cyber security was a bad idea. Maybe telling everyone it isnt true was a bad idea How many businesses wanting favours from Trump just spend money at his properties? Trump Org under investigations for insurance fraud. Let alone everything else....the only reason this seems like a gong show is the sheer enormity of Trump's crimes and improprieties. The simple fact is that nobody is getting impeached without the senate doing it, and the senate is blindly supporting Trump still. There are a mountain of things that Trump could already be impeached for, but it won't happen while the senate protects him so the Democrats in congress are going to continue to let investigations add to the evidence pile before they pull the trigger on impeachment. That the Mueller investigation should wrap up before anything else. Campaign finance ie paying off the porn star, isn't enough to impeach anyways, Nadler (sp?) has said this, they need Mueller to pile up a few more charges but it doesn't appear that Mueller has found anything beyond misdemeanors. The optics are bad for the Dems, scrambling to find more charges just so they can move to impeach to appease their rabid base. Couldn't win at the polls so they will try with dirt, why not just wait a year and win the next election? It should be a slam dunk for them. President is a criminal, can easily impeach him for that. Not like they need a real reason, they can do it with enough support in both houses. I am thinking the same thing - if Mueller has nothing of consequence they might as well just go hard to win in 2020 and forget all of this impeachment stuff. It's almost too late already anyway, as campaigning starts in the next few months. And you are right, it should be a cake-walk for the Dems, just like the last election was.
