  1. Post your playoff predictions here Mine are: Bombers at Stamps in the Semi Bombers at Riders in the final
  2. IT"S GAME DAY!!!! WESTERN SEMI-FINALS!!! Let's Dominate the riders and End their season! WEST DIVISION SEMI-FINAL | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (10-8) at SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (12-6) THE 4-1-1 Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. Sunday; Mosaic Stadium, Regina TV: TSN1, TSN4, RDS, ESPN2 Radio: CJOB The forecast: A mix of sun and cloud. High -10C. Vegas line: The Riders are favoured by 2.5 points. Streaks: Winnipeg: 1L; Saskatchewan: 2W. Home/Road: The Bombers are 4-5 on the road this year; the Riders are 6-3 at home. Head to head, 2018: The Riders captured two of the three meetings this year, winning 31-23 in the Labour Day Classic in Regina and 32-27 a week later in Winnipeg in the Banjo Bowl. The Bombers countered with a 31-0 shutout on October 13th at Investors Group Field. Playoff history: These two clubs last met in the playoffs in the 2007 Grey Cup, a game won 23-19 by the Riders. The Bombers last played in Regina in the playoffs on November 8, 1975, a 42-24 Saskatchewan victory in the West Semi-Final. Add it all up and the Bombers have lost seven straight playoff games to their arch-rivals dating back to a win here in Winnipeg in the 1965 West Semi-Final. The Riders hold an 11-9-1 advantage in the 20 playoff meetings between the two teams. (Thanks to Ed Tait) https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/11/10/game-preview-wpg-ssk-4/
  3. When Hamilton sees The Strevelation in action.
  4. Gotta have an official GDT..... Two teams seemingly headed in opposite directions. Als already-shallow roster is banged up. Bombers relatively healthy (*knocks on wood*) and seem to be playing better each week. Good teams avoid traps and just keep on trucking, regardless of the opponent. Time to put the wood to these guys and keep rolling along.... #FortHew
  5. @ms_reaper2u Time to repeat some history. 1988 GNR played Wpg stadium, grey cup was in Ottawa and Bombers beat BC to win it. #ForTheW 2017 is ours G.U.S .....So, it's settled then....... #FortHew
  6. Thought I'd start a thread for the week leading up to this week's game... Couple notes outta Edm (via Dave @ CHED Radio) that I've seen: Mike Reilly not playing this week...Franklin starts with others getting some time after. Most vets not playing for Edm this week...starting OL likely to get significant time, but that's about it. Still a battle for the WIL spot in Edm, which will continue this week vs Wpg.
  7. This is kind of interesting..... http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/pro-sports-subsidies-1.3898261#cbcmb "The Winnipeg Football Club, which owns the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, is entitled to $1.4 million worth of government assistance next year. That comes in the form a $1.4-million entertainment-tax refund, which is unchanged from 2016. The Bombers are also exempt from paying city business taxes, thanks to the football club's non-profit status. The club also doesn't pay property taxes to the city or province because Investors Group Field is owned by the University of Manitoba. Educational properties are portioned at a zero-per-cent rate by tax assessors."
  8. We have been working hard over at the CFLHorsemen to provide draft content to hard core CFL fans. Of particular interest may be my pre-draft analysis of the Bomber needs. I know there are members here who follow the Bombers closer than I do. Let me know how I did. http://www.cflhorsemen.ca/2015-cfl-draft.html
  9. So on the post game show, TIm Burke said there's a new QB coming to town with CFL experience. When Bob Irving pressed Tim Burke for the answer, Burke told Bob I'll tell you tomorrow... i.e. Today. Does anyone have any credible information on who this mysterious QB is? Or do we all have to wait till tomorrow. My apologies if this discussion has been started elsewhere.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wzCuZd_CYo Good afternoon Bomber fans! Good luck this week! Em
