Globe and Mail rated Winnipeg as the 3rd most livable city in Canada. It has its problems, especially downtown, but so do many cities.

Yeah you can.
Except it took us literally decades to find one that we recruited to the level of Schoen.
I'm not saying Bombers will get that level of WR but one decent enough to cushion the loss somewhat.
-
Schoen would be great but it is easier to get good import receivers than CDN starting RBs.

I’m going to try and be self-aware with this because I know I prefer Schoen over Brady myself, but I did have a conversation with my dad the other day where he made a very good point: we’ve never played Schoenball in the 4th Q to seal a win. We’ve made a habit of playing Bradyball. That stuff does matter and I don’t think I had really considered that until he said it.
I'd say your dad is far wiser than you.

Would he be staying at RT or is he switching to LT on the Riders. An overpay regardless.

I thought the point of the tampering week was to prevent this lol.
I think Pickett has “agreed to terms” and technically not signed yet. Appears it is a foregone conclusion he goes to Ottawa now.

Surprisingly the sun got up this morning. I guess I will survive after all.
Now Bombers have to make some hard decisions. Brought back the oldest team in the league only to fail again. Time for some youth infusion.

Defence let us down. Too many big plays given up. Collaros tossing that EZ INT didn’t help either.

Bomber D was stellar and overcame a lacklustre Collaros performance. Would be a real help if Schoenberg is healthy for the GC.

Just a guess but I think you’re in the wrong thread.

The Elks are no joke anymore. Any team that plays them better be ready to play their best game. Or they'll lose like the Riders did.
Ford is still a better runner than a passer but combined with Brown creates a deadly duo that is difficult to defend. Genuinely concerned for the Bombers when they play the Elks in the coming weeks.

Lol, I knew you could do it, Fajito.

Let’s see if Fajito has any last minute heroics in him. I say no.

Somewhat related to CFL country wide: I was in the maritimes the last 8 days and specifically in Charlottetown, PEI looking to watch the Banjo Bowl. Couldn’t find a place to watch it anywhere. We were even directed to a video game arcade! Went to a restaurant with an attached PUB but they were playing MLB. We needed to eat and therestaurant had great food and nice staff but no CFL.
I find this shameful,TBH. I wouldn’t waste a dime marketing the CFL in PEI. Maybe we can kick them out of Confederation.

Never a Bomber advantage in LDC, can never assume a win there. Very poor play calling in the first half - every god damn throw was deep. Need to be a little more conservative and have clock killing drives.
However, have to give credit to Sask D who made every Bomber drive a tough one.

Crum didn't look right after that endzone hit.
Agreed but seems ok now. Crum certainly has potential. It would be great for the league if he became an effective starter in Ottawa.
Did the camera man get it in the knackers? That’s nuts.

Special teams were ****, the offense was ****, but the D was quite solid.
Honestly I don't think the wind was as significant as some people are making it out to be. Yes there were periods it was a factor (like a couple calgary kicks and throws) but for the Bombers it was mostly about calling a stupid game. Calgary had no answer for the run game so of course they get brown to try throwing into coverage because they weren't even trying to go downfield at all. And don't get me started about putting prukop in notnonce but twice to put us in 2nd and long.
Just a stupid game. Brown really had no chance given what they were calling for plays.
Brown did look tentative to me, however your point is well taken with respect to play calling. The first scoring drive was what I expected to see more of with maybe a few shots down the field. Instead it was a lot of short passes to the wide side of the field hoping for a WR to break a tackle. Quick passes more towards the middle of the field seemed effective early and then they just went away from it. Have to give some credit to the Calgary D, however.

Elks have some work to do if they have any hope of maintaining their perfect record.
