Thanks for these tweet imbedded posts all. As some one who doesn't really twit it adds a lot.
Sucks about Agudosi. Hopefully its not too serious.
At a point in camp like this especially with the none start I wouldn't be surprised to see lots of vet days and guys getting minor pulls. TC is tough as hell. Having a hitch in the start especially on a shortened start could make it tough.
An article on 3dn last week had chris jones speculating that with the hash mark change the league could see a forced evolution of the Wil spot. As it is we don't see many 250lbs macs any more, the smaller side well rounded athlete at 220-230 has become much more popular. We've been seeing bigger sams become popular, guys who are more US safteys with cover skills and the ability to play in the box like moncrief.
We might see Big ish dbs filling the wil spot. Guys like Kyrie can play HCF zone cover but not really take a wr man to man down field.  If teams don't evolve on defense, offenses will use motion and rubs to create those miss matches. I could see a spot like that making opportunities for NI db tweeners.
We have 8 dbs in camp over 200 lbs. A few of them like rutledge (imp, 6'1 215), Rene (ni, 6'2 206) Maston (imp, 6'0 210) Lavigne (ni, 6'0 210), Karamoko (G, 6'2 210)  and the classic hallet bro, nick (5'11 202) with honorable mention to Ciguineau (ni, 6'3 196) all of whom could draw into that type of roll situationally or full time for maston. Ty ford isn't far off either at 5'11 194. Hes smaller then the rest, but a maximized athlete. 17 reps at 225 for a sub 200 lbs db is no joke.

On CBC radio evening news tonight, the reporter who has been following the fratricidal federal Tory leadership race stated that Poilievre is likely to win  the race because the other options are not extreme enough. The policies his followers were most enamoured with are his attacks on the media, his threats to fire the head of the Bank of Canada and antagonism towards ecological concerns. These are apparently non-negotiable for them and they are looking for a complete restructuring of federal government to closely resemble the Trumpian model.
Good news for the Liberals and NDP but not sure if this is good news for Canada.

I guess I should have said why I was a bit shocked.
1- A total stranger said we need to shoot the PM
2- As far as I know we are not and probably can't send oil to the Ukraine
3- Neither the carbon tax or our loosely promised hope to send oil to Europe to off- set the bans on Russian oil and gas are the cause of the rise in fuel prices.
4- I thought this new idiocy of not actually looking things up or thinking things through would stay south of the border.
I really dislike Trudeau.  I think he is a snotty rich kid  who rode his Dads name . But so what. I didn't and won't vote for him but enough people did that he was elected. That's a democracy. Lots of people on here despised Harper but the man was elected and you have to live with it. Neither are Nazis. Neither are dictators. People have to get over themselves and realise that in a democracy the desires and opinions of the individual don't matter. And in Canada we don't shoot our leaders even if they dont represent our personal opinions.Rant done lol

The players weren't on strike and were at the table.  The league left the table and put out that email/tweet and then the players took the strike action.  Yes the vote was in their back pocket.
The league hit the red button when they were closest to getting a deal done.  Pretty unbelievable given what's happened (or not happened) over the past two years with the leadership of this league struggling to even figure out how to play games.  More cancelled games.

Agree with you Jesse... Ambrosie is the messenger and delivers what he is instructed from the powers of the league.
Have limited trust in anything coming out of Toronto, especially those connected to Argos & TSN media based there.
I would have hoped that both sides could/would have come to some kind of mutual agreement. Neither side has gained anything with me, other than ticking me off.
If the league walked away, silly move and negotiating in public is so very wrong.  Adam, getting fans to walk the picket line, is also wrong as well...
To all who are concerned with this, just get back and hammer this thing out. That's what matters most to everyone....

Totally goes with the authoritarian-follower profile that the book describes. Looking to follow a strong leader, able to compartmentalize incompatible views, no critical thinking regarding their own views, angry and willing to accept attributions by those who cast themselves as a strong leader that will stick up for their interests (PP), willing to use violence to have their interests win out.

It is getting weird/ scary. I was fuelling up a slip tank at a cardlock yesterday. A guy about my age that I didn't know pulled in to fuel his pickup and came over to talk which is normal in a small town.
Dude : Getting rready to go to the field
Me: If it ever dries up
Dude: Boy I wonder what that will cost you when you get the bill ?
Me : I don't know but it won't be cheap.
And this is where the conversation went right off the wall.
Dude : Well, I hate to say it ( looking around ) but someone should shoot that Trudeau
Me : ( after a few shocked seconds ) You mean because of the carbon tax , because that's got nothing to do with why the fuel price rocketing up. It's just whats going on in the Ukraine and that being used as an excuse to charge more money here.
Dude: Well Trudeau is sending them fuel ! ( Edit : He also said they are trying to make us drive electric cars like it was some horrible thing)
At that point I gave him a whatever and got busy strapping my tank down. But I find it unnerving that a random stranger would assume it was OK to say that to me about ANY leader. The world is collectively going off its nut.
