We as a country still have much to do in confronting what was done and is still often being done to first nations people, and other minorities as well. What we are doing different than the US is not pretending that systemic discrimination does not exist, and we are not threatening to kill people to prove that.
We are a work in progress, no question, but there are a lot of other places in the world that are way worse.

He is so far off on trying to compare America's issues with police brutality and racism with Canada it's annoying when people like him are trying to create something out of nothing.
Yes don't come to Canada because we had residential schools and clearly the country hasn't changed in 50-100 years when that happened. Don't come to Canada because clearly this Country has not embraced a massive amount of different cultures and places like Winnipeg never celebrate these cultures with things like Folklorama.
Police brutality in Canada is so bad that amazingly relations with the First Nations is at an all time high and the amount of Police related deaths is at an all time low,  but no this uneducated guy knows better because he's desperate for attention.
I say we deport that guy to somewhere far away where he can experience what a truly bad country is like.

How do other leagues do it? The WHL, The Canadian Soccer League. Little dinky leagues where they don't have any money either. They better figure it out.

What's contact  got to do with it. Lots of contact sports are going. All my point was is that NFL, Premier League,  UFC, NHL, AHL, NBA, .......and now curling have figured out ways to run their sports. But somehow it's insurmountable for the CFL ?

If curling can go ( and I'm  curling fan ) surely the CFL can go.  I don't really care if it's Ambrosie or some of the more powerful heads of individual teams that get it done. Fans, no fans, Trudeau money , no money, shortened season, regular season  just play some CFL football. Figure it out. Like any big issue in business start with a basic premise " we play football in 2021 " announce it and start working on each issue, one by one .

    1. If Charles Roberts had possessed the work ethic of Milt, he'd have set every rushing record and been the GOAT.
    2. Guy was still an all time great and its amazing what he did given his lack of working out etc.

    1. Given the uncertainty yet again, I am so happy we won the cup in 2019.
    2. The league needs to figure out how to have a 2021 season. Enough is enough.

Forward to the 47 minute mark.

"The Grey Cup, 3.5 million dollar profit and the place the players want to go."
The Bombers have successfully convinced the Riders biggest homer of all time who the real top dogs are.
Pedersen can expect his inbox to be filled with messages riddled with grammatical errors from the hillbillies. The jacked up trucks and combines are driving to the studio as we speak.

"Take the year to plan for 2022 and get it right so you can have a focused format for years to come"

Why not just make it an even 2025 then? They've had plenty of time to plan. That's what the last 10 months have been for

yup...They brought back him the one year wonder and half of his production came in 2 games....Useless Edem..Selfish and very overrated Marshall, and it was applauded all around over there..with no, or limited pressure up front those DB's are gonna get roasted.

Yeah, thats gonna be an awful line...they had to bring back St John..who wasn't good enough to stick on that crap line before, or anywhere else for that matter, and Dan Clarke..sure he got picked as an all-star...head scratcher there, but he is not a top tier center. And yup...waiting for plays to develop and rely of the floaters Fajardo lays up up there, thats gonna be a recipe for disaster, and then watching his head implode on the sidelines, and alienate half his offence it will be quite the **** show for sure...can't wait

It's sad that Andy Reid's time he spent away from his family as an NFL HC caused such strife in his home. Dad being away so much coaching football & missing special occasions, family birthdays, Christmas or even his 2 sons high school games came at such a cost. They look around & see other Dads in the stands but theirs isn't as he's too busy with his team's players & it's tough.
I can relate as my father was a small business owner & an alcoholic. He was also was never around & would be gone for days at a time & my Mother & I would not know where he was or if he was even alive. Was he lying dead somewhere??  It wasn't uncommon for him to go missing from Thursday at noon to when he came home for lunch to Saturday night or Sunday morning. When he was around then my parents argued about the times he wasn't. I had a hard time trusting others because I could never trust that my father would keep his word he'd be home that night or that we'd be going on that fishing trip the next Saturday when I was a kid.
You get ****** up when you can't trust your father as a 10 year old. Or seeing your Mother crying because she thinks her husband is dead or we have no money for food because Dad is drinking it all away & he's the only bread winner in the family. It affects you the rest of your life. So, I have sympathy for Britt Reid but he is an adult now & hurt 2 innocent little kids. He should go to jail.

I'm afraid that many, perhaps even most Americans are afflicted with the "win at all costs/ If you're not cheating, you're not trying" mentality. Societal attitudes take generations to change. Or a widespread catastrophe.

100% agree. Yes,money always draws interest from any player but so does a good organization and staff. An immediate example is Bighill taking a monster pay cut to stay in Winnipeg. Gotta think a part of that decision was having Coach O'SHEA on the team. Walters/Miller and OShea have seriously brought this team back to a high level of respect and brought our city exactly what we'd been missing for so many years.

Yea...I've heard a crap load of players say they came to Winnipeg because of O'Shea and numerous others say because of how the players are treated by the organization. You'd have to have your head pretty far down the ostrich hole to be able to ignore the FACT that player recruitment in FA and player retention was in big part because of players wanting to play for O'Shea and because Wade Miller opened up the purse strings so that players felt appreciated.  Walters does a fantastic job managing the SMS and getting the finishing strokes on contracts for the numbers we need but realistically I have not every heard one player say he came here or stayed out of a deep respect for Walters. O'Shea and the organization attracts and retains them and Walters works his magic on finding good recruits and getting their names on contracts.

BUt on the flipside...the G.M here was a major part/player in creating said culture here, and the treatment of the players...He and Oshea are 100 percent the reason for the franchise turn around in terms of success, and how viewed league wide....players talk..and Winnipeg has become one of the preferred landing spots in the league now
