I wouldn’t be surprised if we get bad VA next week. He’s always been so unpredictable. He was scary good yesterday but I’m thinking even if he’s on, we’ll have a plan for him. I hope includes pressure.

Well, just an update on my EI claim from yesterday. It took me an hour & a half of redialing, getting thru, dropped calls after doing so or being told ton call back as they were unable to take my call I actually got into the queue. According to my phone I called back 126 times before getting through. After a 6 hour wait on hold & constantly fretting that my call would be dropped but wasn't I spoke to an actual person who took care of my mistake from yesterday. My claim has been reactivated & I can now do my EI reports. I'm not complaining. I'm just relieved it's all taken care of.

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth
    Like a genuine, bona fide
    Electrified, 35,000 seat Stadium
    What'd I say?
    Stadium
    What's it called?
    Stadium
    That's right! Stadium
    Stadium
    Stadium
    Stadium
I hear those things are awfully loud
Not in the playoffs and not with our crowd.
Is there a chance the walls could bend?
    Not on your life, Watermelon-head
    What about us brain-dead slobs?
    You'll be given radio jobs
Were you sent here by a Bomber?
No, good sir, my sister is my mother
My ring came off in the can
We have three more, my good man
    I swear it's Regina's only choice
Throw up your hands and raise your voice
    Stadium
    What's it called?
    Stadium
    Once again
    Stadium
But Albert Street's all cracked and broken
Sorry, Mom, the mob has spoken
    Stadium!
    Stadium!
    Stadium!
    Stadium!
    Stadi, d'oh!

Listen...just like any leader of any company. They should only focus on 1 thing and only 1 thing at a time until it is completely resolved to the liking of every fan/customer across the country. Obviously!
Honestly though. Some people have absolutely no vision of the future. But will gladly complain when the future doesnt turn out as bright and shiney as they want it to be.

I'd love if we would stop continuously looking backwards at our history and start focusing on the future,  Bug Grant, Milt Stegall, Charles Roberts, or whomever have nothing whatsoever to do with the 2019 Bombers.  Their time was then, and they got their due.

Lotta revisionist history about Nichols. He took deep shots and completed deep shots before he was injured. During that 7-2 run, we had the highest-producing offense in the league and our red zone production was off the charts.

again this is why Albertans are pissed off.
"oh you have it good, quit bitching"
That's exactly how the states wound up with Donald Trump. When people are angry being dismissive of them only leads to more anger. Try listening to why these people are upset. Husky just laid off 500 more people yesterday, all those preconceived notions you spouted and all the facts about income and taxes in Alberta, it's not helpful to people who lose not only jobs but careers.
Than you have the political parties offering no help for the oil and gas sector while making noises in the anti oil and gas vein and anti Alberta... Alberta was made out to be a pariah for political gain and you are damned rights that will lead to resentment.
Now I personally don't believe this separatist talk is anything serious, it's just people voicing their anger. The anger is a valid feeling considering what has been happening the few years, it's time to take it seriously and not simply dismiss it.

I don't know if its based in reality but if it ever catches on in BC or Manitoba then who knows? It's already picking up steam in Saskatchewan. With potentially another 2-4 years of Trudeau, Blanchet & Singh who knows where this movement goes? It could fizzle out or grow. It's up to the politicians in Ottawa. And before someone accuses me of being a separatist, I'm not. I live in Calgary & just commenting on what is going on out here. People are pissed, big time. I understand why.

I like Singh and May as leaders but will never vote for either, they're platforms are unrealistic and beyond affordable, they would do so much harm to the economic foundations of this country that we would never recover (think Ontario under Wynne x 1000). I only vote Liberal when there is a competent PM and cabinet, unlike this current version. I know some people are drawn to the whole diversity thing but that should never be the basis of building a management group for 2 trillion dollars of public assets. So I am left with the safe choice, the Conservatives, even though I agree with many who think Sheer is a weenie, they will at least be the best stewards of our public funds while at the same making life more affordable for everyone. I'm not scared away by all the ridiculous notions that they are somehow going to take all your human rights away, this is just a common scare tactic the left has to use because they can't compete on an economic level with them.

I consider this episode of blackface to be more stupid than racist. It's still racist, but imo it's more an indictment of his intelligence than proof he's a racist person.

Trudeau's biggest weakness has always been that he just isn't that bright.  While his blackface episodes are clearly insensitive (even racist under today's lens), I don't believe they were done with any malicious intent.  There are a lot of people out there who will cross a line in order to have the "best" or most outrageous costume at a party - they just don't stumble their way upward into the PM's chair.
I don't think he's a racist and if he is - he doesn't govern like one.  His cabinet was the most diverse in the country's history (while Conservative critics suggested then that they were somehow unqualified just because they weren't white males) and he increased the number of Syrian refugees allowed into our country.  They have accelerated clean water initiatives on reserves and have not walked away from treaty settlements ala Harper.  He did not demote JWR because she was native and I have a very hard time believing that a native woman would ever be named to that post under a Conservative government in the first place.

Conservatives played one region against another. And ran up deficits. They cut taxes to drive up the deficit.
Liberals and Conservatives run the same playbook. They just tag each other in every so often.

Yeah, we do know what we're doing. It was time for the Spend Train with Notley as the engineer to be pulled into the station & put out of service. She was never going to win a 2nd term. You know the NDP were never going to get the economy moving again.

In my opinion, there has been a lot of embarrassing discourse going on in this thread today and over the last year or two.   After numerous attempts to try and curb peoples behavior people don't want to listen, so some lengthy suspensions have been handed out.   I'm tired of the stupidity that goes on in here daily, and I'm sure many others are as well.
If people can't have a discussion without belittling, making fun of, and insulting others, they aren't welcome to post here.  Interesting video here from 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate Tulsi  Gabbard.
I recommend watching the whole thing, but this link has been queued up to start at 48:28.   Watch it for a good 5 - 7 minutes.  What Rogan is saying here is pretty applicable to what has been going on in here.  The amount of times I've been asked to remove posts for the simple reason that people don't agree with them is damn right scary.   I don't care if you are left or right leaning, if you aren't actually interested in discourse and give basic respect to people, and try to understand where someone is coming from society is going to a very very bad place.
Forums are supposed to be about discussion.  Not silencing dissenting views or simply posting to "win" the debate at all costs.

Jesus Christ did you at least get paid for this political advertisement?
The polls are showing the UCP support dropping, people DO care. These leadership shenanigans aren't nothing, they are indicative of how Kenney operates. Break the law to get what he wants.
Let me ask you this, how does slashing corporate tax rates help? Alberta is already the lowest taxed province, all he is going to do is make the rich richer and take away the provinces revenue streams.
How does fighting with the federal government and BC governement (which Notley is already doing, Kenney will just turn it up to 11, help build a pipeline? People like you hate to hear it, but in these big national projects you need to work together with people.
Also that 52% number, I don't buy it, most polls are showing the UCP dropping support to about 45% while the NDP getting close to 40%, within the margin of error.
Now election night might come and we could end up with a UCP government, but it will be closer than you think it will be. People don't like Jason Kenney and they don't like the corruption and social regressiveness of the party.

That plus booting out 2 candidates earlier for their racist and intolerant views.
Those guys are crazy town. Thankfully the polling shows that people are shifting towards the NDP. Not that I ever thought I'd wind up hoping for an NDP win, but good lord no desire to see Jason Kenney as premier here. Guy will set the province back decades.

Dude I am one of those hurting oil patch workers. Geoscientists were hit harder than anyone else in Calgary, but if you think Jason Kenney is going to magically make jobs reappear you are beyond hope of being reasonable.
Notley never promised a pipeline in exchange for a carbon tax, it was framed as showing good faith negotiating with Canada and it did a lot to get the general public in Canada on her side, problem was BC was never going to go for it without a massive pay out, and do you think Jason Kenney was going to give Alberta dollars to BC? I don't.
I say she is pragmatic because she put a lot of those socialist ideals behind her to work towards was is best for Alberta. That's the kind of politician I want. Someone who is about the common good as opposed to their ideology.
Again I don't trust the NDP party for ****, but I trust her a hell of a lot. Also, drop this alliance with Trudeau thing, that's a UCP talking point that is BS. She's been working for Albertans with whoever is willing to work with her including the federal government. Certainly a better option than launching into a red faced tirade like Kenney seems to think would be the answer.
Hell was just reading about the UCP candidate in my riding and she sounds like a truly awful person. Her biggest point of emphasis was how she wanted to roll back the legislation providing more support for people in domestic violence situations.
We are at a point where regressive governments are a bad idea. We need to continue to elect progressives. Haven't had a regressive government since Ralph Klein and we still need to keep going down that path. Massive oil royalties aren't coming back soon and the government needs to actually act like a government now.
